Chateau De La Chevre D Or

This isn’t really a 5-star hotel — it’s a glorified and overhyped Airbnb. The only thing Chevre D’Or has going for it is the views of the ocean which are undoubtedly great. However, tour groups and tourists can freely enter and exit the entire hotel, which cheapens the experience and disrupts hotel guests. Most shockingly, as we were leaving the hotel one day, we literally heard a tour guide tell his group: “this is Chateau De La Chevre D’Or. The hotel of the golden goat. When we go tour the inside of the hotel, you will see why it’s called that.” It was shocking that the hotel would allow this and still charge top dollar to its guests. At night time, influencers and tourists throughout the hotel create significant noise, disrupting the sleep of hotel guests. There is a main walkway next to which the rooms are located, and your room can be within 5-10 feet of hordes of tourists. Beyond the noise concerns, this creates obvious safety issues as well. I would not recommend that anyone looking for a luxury experience stay here — instead look for a better run hotel that is equally scenic. I haven’t stayed at them but in hindsight we regret not exploring Cap Estel, Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat, or Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc. Lastly, the staff is very unattentive, uncooperative, and generally lacking in hospitality versus what you would expect from such an establishment.

Stunning views and property connected to a charming and historical village!

Everything about the hotel was top-notch. The service, the location, the view, the facility itself, the restaurants.

room was nice and the view was beautiful but the room was upstairs and the bathroom 13 steps down! Very inconvenient, my husband has mobility problems. Our room was accessible from an ally which is part of the medieval village and it didn't feel like a resort. Other rooms have access from the resort only. The food is expensive but the view from the restaurant is outstanding, hard to imagine!

This is an unbelievably gorgeous hotel. Location is spectacular as well as the grounds. One like no other. The staff is very professional and obliging. Once in a lifetime experience. We will be back.

Loved the views and the beauty of the property. However we thought the restaurants had limited options and the non Michelin star restaurant was way over priced for the quality of the food. No place to get reasonable appetizers. Our room was a poor location above the breakfast patio and the music that was piped in through the area was loud until 11 am Staff was great as was breakfast. We would not return however and or recommend the hotel.

An unforgettable hotel with an impressive view of the ocean and the surrounding villages in Southern France. Highly Recomended!

I am not easily wowed but this spectacular hotel was top notch in every regard. Everything about it - everything - was absolutely perfect. Whatever your expectations are, the Chèvre d’Or will surpass them. The suites are scattered throughout the village. Each is unique and ours had some really neat features including a see through floor and a wonderful garden-mountain-sea-view balcony. The hotel gardens, on multiple levels carved into the mountain side were full of delightful discoveries. The pools and amenities were lovely. The food nop notch. We didn’t have enough time to experience all this hotel offers - strongly recommend at least 2-3 nights.
