The Palms At Coco Beach

While the rooms are basic, my king suite was roomy and had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast had decent choices and the coffee urn was out early. To a person the staff was lovely and helpful. There’s a bar, restaurant and grocery on premise. It is very convenient to the beach and restaurants. The only downside for me was the activities that took place every evening right outside my room-bingo, open mic, trivia. The beach itself was not particularly attractive to me. If you are going to Coco Beach this is a reasonably priced choice.

Great stay

It was a good bang-for-the-buck-stay. The rooms were small, felt a bit unkept, and bathroom had a odd odour. However, the restaurant and pool area where guests have free breakfast were all nice and comfortable. The area of Coco is touristy and definitely there is many better places to stay in Costa Rica such as La Fortuna, Monte Verde or Papayago - but if you need to stay in Coco than the Palms is very local to the most populated spots.

Clean place to sleep

We booked a basic small room, which was very small and very basic. After checking in we discovered that the toilet wasn’t working. The gentleman at the front desk said he’d let maintenance know and the issue would be resolved by the time we returned that evening. On our return he said that maintenance was unable to come in, so he had us move to the room next door…which happened to be an executive room! What a difference, and what an excellent example of customer service done right! Location was great, though a bit noisy. Near lots of dining options. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is dated but very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great restaurant and is only steps away from the beach. The live music in the evenings was a nice touch. Would recommend to friends.

Was a great 3 night stay at this property right on coco beach. Staff went above and beyond, even upgrading my room to an executive suite the last night. Beyond appreciative and plan to visit again.
