Hotel Honnoji

excellent location, down the hotel there is subway. Near to Kamo River u can find a lot of traditional restaurants. The price is okay still though a bit experience. Very convenient to tourists spots and the city. I love it. They clean the room every day. And we have to take the shower in public bath room. It is nice Japanese Style but some may prefer private bath room still.

Der große Vorteil des Hotels ist seine zentrale Lage. Auch an dem Zimmer war nichts auszusetzen (ich hatte die etwas größere Variante gewählt). Das alleine rechtfertigt leidet aber nicht den (in meinem Fall) verhältnismäßig hohen Preis. Als ich bei meiner Ankunft nach einer Zumutung von Mahlzeiten fragte (gehört in einem Ryokan ja irgendwie dazu), erklärte man mir, dies sei nicht möglich mit der Begründung es ließe sich zeitlich nicht einrichten. Auch das japanische Bad war im Vergleich zu denen anderer Hotels im westlichen Stil auch eher funktional und lud nicht zum verteilen ein. Das Englisch des Personals war eher unterdurchschnittlich und wirkte bei meiner Ankunft eher unzufrieden auf mich.

初めて滞在しました。ホテルの昔ながらのつくりなのでしょうが、お掃除が行き届いていて快適でした。部屋の広さは、広すぎるくらい。お風呂が共同と少し手間ですが、大きなお風呂のほうがよかった気がします。ロケーションは、まさに本能寺！市役所の真ん前。通りのにぎやかさも防音対策にて気にすることなく過ごせました。ホテルのスッタフの皆さんは、とても親切に対応していただき、また泊まってみたいホテルの一つです。

This is a Ryokan style hotel with tatami mats in main room, toilet in small side closet, and sink in room. Shared baths on the basement floor were clean and very comfortable. We spent two nights, mid-week during Cherry blossom season. Very convenient location to major shrines and temples in Kyoto area. Staff are friendly, main desk staff speak some English while room staff typically do not. Hotel is right next to Tozai subway exits 2 and 3 on south side of Oike Dori (street) across from Kyoto city office buildings (city hall). Honno-ji shrine is behind the hotel and can be accessed from three paths nearby. There is a good underground mall connected to the subway station with restaurants and shops including a nice grocery. Plenty of shops and restaurants within 5 minute walking distance. Some things to be aware of: - There was no A/C in our rooms on the 6th floor and with outdoor high temp around 20 degrees C the hotel rooms were very warm - As noted by others, hotel lobby is very smoky. If you don't like smoke it can be uncomfortable even passing through - WiFi is only available on ground floor (lobby), but you can stand outside the main door and get a good signal. Nice for those who want to avoid smoke If you are expecting western style hotel rooms this is not a good fit, but if you are up for a more traditional Japanese experience it is a good place to stay.

Great location and value for money. Almost center to everywhere we wanna go, from temples, to palaces, to shopping, by walking, trains or buses. As we were travelling with 2 children, not many hotels in Japan can accommodate 4 in a room.

酒店提供和式房間, 面積較普遍西式酒店房間寛敞. 部份房間沒有浴室, 要到公眾浴池洗澡, 對這方面有抗拒的人, 請特別注意. 酒店位置距離京都地鐵東西線站僅數步可及. 若搭乘阪急電鐵由大阪至京都河原町站, 步行10-15分鐘可到酒店, 沿路經過新京極通, 錦市場, 寺町通等購物及美食中心, 交通極之方便. 酒店員工態度友善有禮, 酒店價錢合理, 如到京都主要想遊覽市中心及東山清水寺等地方, 我十分推薦在這酒店住宿.

ホテル入口は河原町御池の交差点近く。別の催し物会場入り口に着いたところ、スタッフの方が丁寧に案内してくださいました。部屋は和室。年期は入っていますが、清潔な旅館で、ゆったりできます。深夜23時以降に戻ってきた際にも、入口のスタッフの方が温かく迎えてくれました。気の置けない方とのんびりするにはいいホテルだと思います。新しくても狭いビジネスホテルよりはるかに落ちつけます。
