Oaklands Lodge Hotel

This was our second stay in this hotel.The rooms are spotlessly clean and very spacious.Breakfast was excellent with great service.This hotel is excellent value for money and we will be back.The only negative is breakfast finishing at 9am is far too early.

The hotel is a mile or two outside St Helier, but consequently quiet, and nowhere is far from anywhere else on Jersey (though a car is essential). The room was comfortable and clean, though a little warm despite the heating being turned off. The Blacksmith's Arms pub doubles as the hotel restaurant, and we ate there on each of the three nights of our stay; the food was uniformly excellent. Breakfast was full service rather than buffet (unusual these days), and also very good.

This was an excellent hotel. Lots of parking and excellent service. The breakfast was also lovely.

Ideally situated for my visiting family as we live close by. Large car park for those wishing to explore the island. It is probably the best priced hotel I have seen in Jersey, couldn't fault it.

The walls are a bit thin so you can hear your neighbours especially if they are loud and thoughtless, not the hotels fault who you get nextdoor, which is a real shame.

Das Hotel ist für PKW-Reise ideal. Ein großer Parkplatz ist vor dem Haus, alles ist auch wegen der kleinen Insel gut zu erreichen. Das Interieur hat den Charme der 60er. Air-con gibt es nicht. Das Waschbecken hat 2 getrennte Hähne für Kalt- und Warmwasser, mischen ist nicht möglich. Vor meinem Zimmer befand sich direkt das Dach des Anbaus. Die Entlüftung war direkt vor dem Fenster, der Blick aus dem Fenster wurde durch Kippen beeinträchtigt. Das Nichtraucherzimmer wird offensichtlich so umgangen. Die Tische im Restaurant waren klebrig mangels effektiver Reinigung. Wie in UK üblich, werden Gläser ohne Untersatz auf den Tisch gestellt.

Chose this hotel for a four day break with my wife as it was reasonably priced with free on-site parking. With only 10 rooms in total and in a quiet location it suited are needs perfectly. The décor is a little dated, but don't let that put you off as the rooms are very clean and comfortable though I would image that they get a little warm in the height of summer as they are not air conditioned. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Food in the adjoining pub was also nice though a little pricey by UK standards.
