"Almost left without checking in"

Upon arrival at 1030pm the lobby doors were locked. Only hiccup was check in person was not at the front desk, lobby door was locked, and no one was reachable for 20-30 minutes via the telephone numbers posted on the door, or to answer the exterior phone/buzzer

"Friendly little motel"

Check in was quick and friendly. We received a courtesy call after check in to make sure everything in the room met our needs. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Overall, it did the trick for a one night stay at a reasonable price. A good option for bike riders.

Particularly during breakfast, there was no staff around. Had to wait for the coffee to be refilled, juice was running out and even the bread was running out. No one was in the receptionist area when I was logging out and a tiny cockroach casually crawled on the receptionist's area. The room was OK but the floor was sticky, and the water in the sink and shower smelled heavily like metal. While I have stayed in other properties, this one is definitely one that I will not go back to.

"Nasty"

Rooms and furniture very dated, bathroom ceiling was disgusting, shower taps and we're all rusted, radiators were all rusted as well... All towels were grey not white... carpet was torn, fridge had no racks or bars to hold any items in place... Was very disappointed!!! As I stay at HOWARD JOHNSON QUITE A BIT..... never seen one so run down....I won't stay again.... But very pleasant staff.
