Transit Airport Bed & Breakfast

I was not expecting much for my stay as I was laying over for just a couple of hours for two different occasions but they exceeded my expectations. Service was excellent as I was even served breakfast at 2:30 AM. Air conditioning was working well for the two different rooms I stayed in. Highly recommend if you are just staying over for a couple of hours waiting for the flight rather than stay in the airport which is not really spacious and not a lot of places to stay while waiting for the flight.

Hotel was clean and convenient. Shuttle was waiting upon my arrival. Driver was more than patient as I had some travel challenges. The only improvement would be to have the breakfast ready on time.

Property was very conveniently located near Dar Es Salaam airport. My transfers from Zanzibar Fast Ferry to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport worked flawlessly. It was pleasant being able to relax in the comfortable air conditioned room prior to my 1 am departure to the airport. Hotel nice and quiet. Access to the hotel resturant and its free room service was convenient.

It is the second time that I have stayed at the Transit Motel and this overnight stay was equally as good. All the staff (including their driver) were friendly, helpful and responsive and the room is fine for an overnight stay. If you need an overnight stay near to Dar Es Salaam airport, I highly recommend this option.

Room wasn't as booked. Mold on walls close to the bathroom, tv didn't work.

This is a great, simple, clean place to stay. People should be aware that the hot water needs to be turned on about a half hour before taking a shower. The button looks like a light switch that has a little red light on it. The neighborhood isn't great, but the motel has a wall and a guard. I would highly recommend getting their driver to pick you up at the airport.

We have traveled all over the world and have reasonable expectations about accommodations in different areas of the world. We selected this hotel because of a very long layover and very early flight back to the US. It is indeed close to the airport but that is vastly outweighed by the conditions of the room and the property as a whole. It was very cheap but as always, you get what you pay for. To reach the hotel, you are driven down a rutted dirt road. The room was so dirty that we put our luggage in the shower to protect against possible vermin. We had dinner with the rest of our family prior to their earlier flight and waited three hours for bowls of soup. It is in a sketchy area and you can't really walk elsewhere to eat so you're stuck there. They do have a taxi that sits outside the lobby so it is convenient to return to the airport. The airport has nowhere to sit and wait and no interior restaurants and closes overnight. You would be well advised to book at one of the hotel chains farther out and plan your time accordingly.

Very accommodating and friendly staff! Would stay there again anytime!
