Hatton Court Hotel

We stayed at this hotel on a Sunday night on our road trip into Wales. Firstly we were very impressed with the staff, they were all so friendly and welcoming. Our room was nice and the hotel was quirky, old and lovely. My favourite was the food, we went to the restaurant in the evening and I had the last roast beef available, I was so lucky, it was absolutely gorgeous and the meat was cooked to perfection. We went on a secret escapes deal which was worth every single penny. Breakfast was great as well with a good choice, cooked to order. The lady serving us couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely go back.

Great stay at Hatton Court! A perfect relaxing stay away from home. We really enjoyed the Tara restaurant, staff were amazing, and the hotel had a lovely bar area to end the night with a cocktail. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Friendly Staff & Excellent service - what more could you want?

What a lovely country hotel! It was a last minute booking and I was made to feel right at home. The atmosphere is grand, albeit slightly tired, but gemutlich. The restaurant was great. I had some game and it was very tasty.

Used this hotel as an overnight stop going north. We didn’t want a motorway hotel with guests arriving and leaving at all hours so chose this 10 minutes from M5 Lovely hotel large rooms excellent food On arriving at entrance the drive is full of potholes which can be off putting but once inside the hotel it was clean and a mix of modern and traditional Very friendly staff ( breakfast service waitress was a lovely welcome to the start of the day as was the receptionist didn’t Cath either of the ladies names) Would visit again if we were in the area

We have stayed here on a number of occasions. An ideal situation in a quiet country location although easily accessible from the M5. All the reception, bar and restaurant staff are efficient, friendly and very helpful. We are getting on a bit and have never had a problem asking for help with our suitcases. We were considerbly delayed at our last visit (M5 incident), but despite our late arrival we were able to go directly to the restaurant where the service was excellent. The menu is comprehensive and if you take up one of the hotel offers, there is usualy a generous contribution to the evening meal. This is an old property and there are some "tired" areas but work has already started on a major refurbishment which should make this place even more comfortable. Can't fault the service or food and we are looking forward to our next visit.

I booked Hatton Court for my 23rd Wedding Anniversary. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I asked for some Belgian chocolates the night before we were due to arrive and they delivered. The food was very tasty in the restaurant. However, the room (Room 24) is in desperate need of upgrading and a good clean. There was black mould (the really dangerous kind) on the metal bathroom window, paint pealing in the bathroom and bedroom, and a cracked tile in the bathroom. And note of caution, the hot tap in the wash basin sounds like a pneumatic drill if the water flow isn't consistent. We would have had a lovely view from the room had it not been for the scaffolding obscuring our view! I wasn't warned about the scaffolding beforehand nor the fact that there might be drilling by workmen going on. I've had better rooms at Premier Inn... Lastly, as other people have noted - watch out for the potholes as you come into the drive.

Not a bad place to stay a couple of nights. Our room was at the back of the hotel which is fine for this time of the year as the outside area was closed but I imagine it could get busy if it opens during good weather. Breakfast was good and dinner amazing. The staff working were all very friendly apart from the reception girl who showed no interest at checking in or out. It felt like she wasn't wanted to be there which was a shame as every other place we have been to it's the welcoming that made or break your stay. On a final matter, the driveway is full of potholes which, for this time of hotel, should be sorted ASAP.

Enjoyed our two night stay. Very nice for a winter stay as everywhere was lovely and warm and we had a super walk-in shower. Very good food especially the breakfast and good friendly service. Our double bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever had - nice and soft for our old bones!!! Great views from the hotel.
