Hôtel des Dromonts by SOWELL COLLECTION

Loved the decor of the hotel, glad we booked a Club room for space in the room, bathrooms spacious and beds super comfy with room cleaned every day. Easy to adjust heating, bathroom so warm no need to heat room itself. Bar was very welcoming and a nice place to re group after a hard days skiing.

Missed not having a balcony as every other accommodation we have stayed at in Avoriaz had one both hotels and Apartments. Spa a bit disappointing as very limited with some facilities out of order although hot tub a great end to the day. Would be nice to have a snack menus available at the bar to accompany drinks. Breakfast was a bit uninspiring and often run out of items but there was a reasonable selection. The ski room wasn't heated and no lockers so we took our boots up to room or they were still wet in the morning - I believe it was temporary due to fire damage but this should have been communicated to us and maybe some sort of compensation as it was a real pain at the beginning and end of the day.

Breakfast, Good and tasteful. Not a big buffet but all the minimum is there. The restaurant manager and his staff are very welcoming all guests and make us feel comfortable and always willing to answer your needs and make sure that your restaurants experience is great, very professional! Ski storage, very convenient

- Room Service: We didn't like the lack of room service at all, making it almost impossible to order a meal or drinks to your room. The mini bar is not sufficiently stocked, we often drank tap water because we sometimes found ourselves without water, and room service is not operational. The staff makes you understand that they want to service you but it is not a service that is taken for granted. - Departure Waiting time, too long waiting time for the transportation to drive you back at the Avoriaz entrance. We waited outside the hotel for 45 minutes in the snow with our luggages (you are not allowed to wait in the hotel, the transport company drives you only if you are waiting outside the hotel!). Guests are complaining a lot about it and some even could miss their flight because of this. the hotel disclaims all responsibility and this does not seem correct to us at all. The hotel should have an agreement and reliable transportation. Despite all these, we will come back hoping that those issues will be addressed and solved

The spa is nice

Very dated (room, common areas). The ski room without lockers is totally unacceptable. Attitude of the staff was poor.

Very stylish, liked the bar area, staff were very friendly and helpful and the dinner in Les enfants terribles was amazing

The ski boot room was awful - very dark, the boot warmer racks were out of use so it was completely overcrowded. The pillows were a bit hard..

Fire alarm at 1am due to issue in boot room, now nearly 4am in the morning and still sitting across the road in bowling alley waiting for green light to go back to our room, do not expect to be paying anything for tonight’s stay!!!!
