Hotel Villa Ruscello

Overall very pleasant stay, superb hotel gardens and pleasant lakeside facilities. Very busy main road but not a big problem.. Good base for exploring local area. Only moan is lack of tea/coffee making facilities in room, if you like an early morning cup of tea then take a travel kettle with you !

A grouup of 5 including grandparents and teenage boys the hotel was more than we expected and excellant value

A very nice room with a great view of the islands! The breakfast was in a very pretty room with a good choice of foods and drinks. The owners were very accommodating and helpful with giving directions to our next stop and with sightseeing information.

A very good condition hotel that is friendly and family run. The view from the balcony of Lake Maggiorie is simply stunning. Close to both Stressa and Bavenno. Can't be faulted for service, comfort and location.

Great location... though. stay in the room or get in the car if you wish to spend time outside It is on a busy noisy main road, no sidewalk. Can't leave the window open - water fall under the window, railway from the other side and the rosd under the gate..

Lovely location. Road in front of hotel and railway line behind a bit noisy but not too bad. Ask for a room at the front so that you get a lakeside view. Staff very friendly, breakfast good. There could have been a bit more information in the room, for example how to operate the tv to switch from digital to analogue otherwise you can't get many stations. Also some information about the local area would have been useful. Overall, very good value for money.

Budget hotel in a lovely location. However if you dont have a car or a bicycle you are looking at a 40 minute walk into Sesetre, the nearest town, and half of that is on a road with no pavements. Breakfast was OK but it does not start till 8.30am so if you want an earlier start to your day you will have to go without breakfast. Rooms are basic but OK and they have BBC world. However the shower cubicles (plastic pods) are tiny and not easy to use if you are over 6ft or on not as slim as you would like to be!

It is a lovely friendly hotel, very good value for money. The rooms were basic but ensuite and clean. The only real downside was it not being In as close to Stresa as we imagined, It is a bit of a trek along a main road. And we did have a lovely view of Lake Maggiore from our room with a balcony. The staff were ever so helpful and polite. I think it must be a family run hotel. If you like an early start to the day, bear in mind that breakfast starts at 8.30am though they may open the breakfast room a little earlier. I would recommend staying moreso if you have a car and are travelling around. So it is good for: 1)price 2)friendliness 3)view of Lake Maggiore.
