Platinum Hotel

The Platinum is a place I would love to stay again for my next visit tp Oman! Everyone was assisting and accommodating and the facilities are very clean The location is near all shops and everything else you need to enjoy your stay I love that there is a piano at the lobby where my son was able to play his favorite pieces

Clean, amazing breakfast, beautiful rooftop patio and pool

Very nice staff. They allowed me free late check out since my flight was cancelled. Great breakfast buffet. I wanted to check out the pool but didn't have time.

Pleasant 1 night stay & airport pickup. Taxis are super expensive in Muscat! Room was large, adequate amenities but mattress was a bit saggy, not a nice pillowtop. Pillows ok but only 2 on queen size bed. Shower gel, shampoo but no hair conditioner which I thought was odd. Body lotion, shower cap etc. Only 1 bath towel. Not that I would waste 1 for a 1 might stay. Buffet breakfast very basic with omelette station. Hotel is clean & well decorated. Staff was pleasant enough. Easy check in & check out. Pool was so overheated, but on rooftop so had a morning swim. Ladies gym has 1 bike that doesn't work & 2 treadmills & a universal gym with 1 broken cable on the side. TV in gym, made use of treadmill & free weights. Massage room but no time to try that. Spar grocery store 1 block away if you need to buy cold drinks or fruit etc. Room had fridge. Good selection of tv stations. Room safe.

Great Location, very convenient, excellent and thoughtful staff

The staff were excellent, the breakfast more then excellent They really made me feel like i am at home I thank every body at the hotel i enjoyed the 3 nights that I spent at this hotel and if i am visiting oman in the future I will make sure that i go back to this hotel

Its a great hotel in the middle of the city. The service is great, rooms are spacious & the food is good (breakfast always had Indian hot food along with omelette & continental food). The hotel is near the main market & thus everything is available nearby, including a direct public AC bus to/from Airport

Certainly doesn't feel like a 4* Hotel to me. Good points: * Staff around the hotel is really nice * Location is nice, plenty of shops and restaurants around * Breakfast is tasty * Wifi is OK Bad points: * Place is deserted. No people there at all therefore no buzz or ambiance * Pools and Gym close early at 8.30pm. Pool is open to outside guest as well as hotel guests. * Only 1 restaurant open and again always completely empty. Upstairs restaurant never opened at all. Bad experience: *Customer service is lacking on the Welcome Desk. I was asked (twice!) to pay a "deposit" despite my reservation being paid in Full in advance. After 3 says when Manager came they called me to a desk to say payment has been taken by a mistake as they didn't know I paid in Advance (despite me saying I did). They said that the refund will be in local currently which I was fine with. HOWEVER, it turned out that the refund was in Cash and given to me on my last day of stay. I was at loss for a) Bank Fees for the transaction (£38) and Conversion back to GBP (£50+) and they couldn't care less. Their reply was that they too "lost 5% commission" because of this mistake too... How is that my fault?

loved the stay , staff was freindly and helpful. Food was excellent. enjoyed our stay here a lot.

Nothing unique about it, but a professionally maintained hoel.
