Tudor Lodge

Had a very pleasant four days at the Tudor Lodge, nice clean room, friendly helpful hosts and a great breakfast.

There was a great choice for breakfast and they went out of their way to provide gluten free items for me for breakfast.

Well located, very comfortable and clean. Attention to detail evident. These inn keepers are among the very best I have ever encountered. I travel allot, so much to compare! Truly I give Steve and Clare the highest praise and respect, and my gratitude!

Everything. I choose it for the convenient location, easily walkable to all I wanted to do.

Diese kleine, aber sehr feine Unterkunft war eine der besten, die wir jemals in GB angetroffen haben. Die Besitzerin hat mit viel Liebe zum Detail das Haus und die Zimmer eingerichtet und mit Bildern und Kunstgegenständen dekoriert. Die Dame war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls eins der besten, dass wir in GB genießen durften. Alle Zutaten waren frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft, dazu gab es eine große Auswahl an Aufschnitt (!) und sonstigem Brotaufstrich. Extrawünsche wurden sofort erfüllt. Sehr angenehm war auch die Tatsache, dass man seinen PKW auf dem Grundstück parken konnte. Nicht weit von der Tudot Lodge gibt es einige Restaurants. Wir waren im "Australien", einem urigen Pub.

The property is very well located, as it is close to the charming high street, but adequately removed to mean it was quiet. The room was immaculate. The owners are hospitable & professional & it is evident that they take such care of the property, as it it very well maintained. The breakfast was impressive. Served in a charming, inviting breakfast room, I was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of items that were part of the continental breakfast (e.g. fresh fruit, porridge, granola, cereal, a wonderful selection of toppings such as Brazil, cashew nuts, coconut, pumpkin seeds, charcuterie choices, featuring local cheeses, pastries, bread, jams). But, in addition, there were choices of a hot breakfast (e.g. full English, omelette, eggs, etc). It is a very generous offering & certainly sets visitors up for a day of walking & exploring. I think it is one of the nicest breakfasts we have had at a hotel.

Very friendly hosts, superb breakfast, rooms immaculate, and very comfortable bed. Location brilliant for reaching all activities and visits planned.
