Good place to stay comfortable room.

Spacious room with decent wi-fi. Only problem was shower. Plumbing was so bad it was impossible to shower as water came out everywhere except shower rose (room 3). Food in restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast

We were rebooked by the hotel into another hotel, which was pretty awful. I rated nearly everything average, as we didn't, unfortunately, actually stay there. The Monte Cristo reimbursed us the charge, which had already been made, but it was little compensation for a very unsatisfactory night's stay in the rebooked hotel (for which, incidentally, we had to pay parking - no compensation for that!).

This is a quintessential beauty just outside of Mons. Sporting a full courtyard to have an afternoon drink and read a book, or having the best meal of your life at L'Effet Beouf, the Monte Cristo is number 1 on my list of places to stay while on business or for pleasure in Mons. The rooms are simply stated, with views that will take you out of the city and into the country side of Belgium. If I could live there I would. The staff is professional and accommodating. Check in is very easy. Please stay here. You will not regret it.

There was nobody at the reception when I arrived around 6pm. I have found a dead cockroach in my room and the walls where so thin I could hear everything from the rooms next to mine. I asked the reception to book a taxi, but it was not done so I lost my train in the morning. The restaurant of the hotel is also very expensive and totally not in line with the quality of the food. Overall I will not go back.

Hôtel super. Confortable et très propre. personnel convivial et très sympathique. Bonne situation Dommage qu'il n'y pas d'ascenseur Petit bémol : la tv n'était pas tout à fait au point. Je recommande cet établissement où j'ai déjà planifié de retourner. Jean-Pierre PASTEGER

Far from Mons city center. 15€ taxi each way. One day they forget to male the room, the bathroom was shaking, it looked like it was going to fall. I heard the noise from the next room

This hotel was perfect for our needs as it was less than 15 mins' drive from the centre of Mons with a comfortable room and bed and a large free off-road car park. The young man who welcomed us and served us drinks couldn’t have been more helpful. There is no lift, which was no problem for us, but might be a consideration for other visitors, and the bathroom toilet arrangement was a little restricted, but again no problem for us. There was food available, although we didn't need to eat there - it looked and smelt delicious, The hotel was very reasonably priced for its location. We would certainly stay there again.
