MOExceptional French cuisine at the restaurant and impeccable staff, with the only exception being the sommelier of dubious qualification, questionable integrity, unethical incentives, or a combination thereof. Warning: Do not crack expensive vintage wines there.
Price/value proposition more outrageous than even Paris 1er or 6eme arr. For close to 200 eur you get a smelly rickety 14m2 room including your bathroom, toilet, wardrobe, a small double bed and bedstand, with no space to even open your suitcase, or frankly, even move.

FRHad to leave after 1 hour and did not stay at this property. Nothing positive, do not book!
Our room was in a separate building opposite the hotel in a public car park. The room was infested with bugs. We removed a number of these bugs and more and more kept coming. We reported this to hotel staff who turned up with a brush to remove some. But more kept coming. We asked to move rooms to the main hotel, but the staff offered a room in the same infested building. If we wanted to stay in the hotel, we would have to pay nearly €200 more. The staff were very rude, stormed off back to the hotel when we said we didn’t want to pay extra for moving out of their dirty, unhealthy and unsafe infested room. Although we had only been there 1-2 hours, the staff refused to cancel our booking without fees. I have been charged full price for a room I didn’t stay in and was unsafe. Do not stay here!!!!

GBWe have not stayed at The Charbonell before but will most certainly be returning. From the initial interaction at reception with a most engaging, polite & helpful lady to the wonderful dining experience made possible by the very passionate & professional waiters & beautifully prepared & presented food.
