Twickenham Guest House

The staff were absolutely brilliant, thank you. Affordable parking possibility suiited us well, easy walk to station. The room was very clean and the bathroom small, but nice. The price reflects what you get, but it's great to get something that is clean and friendly in thet area for that price.

The pillows were massively high and couldn't be split, I couldn't sleep on them, so didn't get much sleep. Also I have slept on comfier matresses.

Si vas a Twickenham a ver un partido de rugby o algún espectáculo, el lugar es fantástico a 200 metros del estadio !! Pero lo único que tendrás es una cama y un baño . Sin ninguna pretensión, solo eso. Para una noche ! Si tu objetivo es quedarte mas dias, y hacer turismo no lo recomendaría.

El establecimiento estaba bien, sencillo y sin ninguna presunción, limpio, gente amable y nada mas !! Solo para una noche !!

Excellent for going to Twickenham stadium. Good parking and food for rail links. I left my binoculars and the staff were excellent in helping to return them.

It was within walking distance of Twickenham. There was nothing else to like about this establishment unfortunately. In 40 years of travel I’ve never left a bad review. This is the first one. Again, unfortunately.

Everything else. After 40 years of travel in the UK, Europe, China, Australia, NZ, USA, at various other guest houses, apartments and hotels this was the worst experience ever. A tiny shoe box of a room (3 meters x 3 meters), the room door had several vertical cracks that let outside light and cold air into the room (the door emptied into the courtyard), the key to the door is from the 1800’s and anyone looking through the key hole would be able to look into the room, the bed pillow was big/fat/round and a couch pillow/not a sleeping pillow, there was only 1 pillow, no security latches or anything on the door, the bathroom was smaller than a farm outdoor outhouse, the bathroom fan would not turn off and made a constant noise 24 hours even with the light off, the toilet seat came apart with normal use, no temperature settings in the room, upon arrival the room was ice cold so I looked for a way to adjust the temperature, the room radiator (inches from the head of the bed) had no controls of any kind, the bed was hard as rock giving me pain in my hips from sleeping on my side, between the wrong pillow and hard mattress after two nights I’m exhausted from lack of sleep, by luck I found out that the bathroom radiator also controlled the room radiator by turning it on, however once started it would not shut off and the room became excessively hot. Room was so small there was nowhere to work on a laptop. I asked if I could work in the breakfast room which was granted. I brought something to eat for dinner and went to get a paper napkin in the breakfast room upon which the front desk person ran out and gave me a verbal “spanking” saying “those are only for breakfast!” The 8 pound breakfast was also the poorest even by UK & USA standards and by German standards would be a minus below zero ranking.
