Main Street Hotel

The property was beautifully decorated with each room having its individual style. The mini bar in every room was complementary which is a rarity and was fully stocked. There was in addition an honesty bar by the breakfast room which was a lovely touch. The breakfast was sensational. Both cooked and buffet style. Elodie the owner was on hand to ensure all of her guests had the best time.

There is nothing not to like. This is a first class hotel.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into this warm, inviting hotel by Elodie the owner who did everything to make you feel at home and comfortable. The room was ready when we arrived at 2pm and it was beautifully decorated and very comfortable and spacious. Together with the gorgeous bathroom we instantly wanted to stay longer than the 1 night we were booked in for. The breakfast was divine. Fresh fruit, homemade breads, cheeses meats and pate and that was before the hot food menu! I had the scrambled eggs and bacon which was delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again and encourage anyone visiting Ypres (Ieper) to book here - you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Elodie!

Best hotel we’ve stayed in! Amazingly calm atmosphere and beautifully decorated, and the host, Elodie, well you’ll just want to take her home with you, she is so welcoming and friendly. We will return for sure.

We have stayed at Main Street a few times now and this time we took friends who we have told about the great place we stay and they couldn't believe how great the hotel was and the owner Elodie how helpful she was and made our stay just perfect , the b breakfast is by far the best we have had on our travels and we have travelled to lots of places over the years, If you stay here you must try the tapas

This was our first stay but definitely won’t be our last. Just a one night stay on our way to Bruges but will stay longer in Ypres next time. Elodie was very welcoming and went out of her way to make us comfortable. The room was fantastic as was the breakfast which was delicious! Ypres is a lovely town and although the Menin Gate is still being restored the Last Post is well worth experiencing. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We really didn’t know what to expect and frankly were quite apprehensive as we usually stay in more well known places, but what a wonderful surprise this was. It’s a small, nice looking building located just an easy five minute walk to the main square, but far enough back to be away from the noise and crowds. We were warmly welcomed by the absolutely amazing hand-on owner Elodie, who gets the award for the absolute best hotel manager ever. In fact every single aspect of our two night stay felt as though we were the relatives of Elodie in her own beautiful home. Our bedroom, called Glory, was a good size as was the bathroom, and beautifully furnished and decorated, right down to the amenities which were selected for quality not price, something we wish all hotels did. The bed was very comfortable, the lighting was good, the shower great - everything perfect right down to the very well stocked complimentary mini-bar. Even though we were the only guests Elodie laid out a large breakfast buffet with freshly made bread and perfect fried eggs and bacon. We highly recommend this as the best place to stay in Ypres.
