Super emplacement. Tout était parfait.

Got scammed by the owner. He canceled all 3 nights because we were a few minutes late to the check in on the first night (to be clear he did not tell us there was a hard cut off for when we could check in by) . We kept him up to date with our movements all day but were unfortunately delayed as that is what happens with international travel. He lied and said that he was away for the weekend and couldn't check us in the following day, which was a lie as he was present the following day at check in time. (I have photo proof of this). Later in our trip heard him in a nearby bar making fun of scamming us (also have proof of this on video). Would have happily forgone the first night, but looks like all this guy cared about was scamming us out of the money we paid and re-letting the room to get double the money. Edit - the "host" has replied with further lies, and without answering the questions: 1. Why could we not check in the next day? 2. Why did he lie about being away for the weekend? He states in his reply that we were in Belgium for 3 days prior to check in - this is untrue. We entered Belgium the evening before and were in a different city on the other side of the country. We had issues with transport leaving this city. He also accused us of causing issues up to 15 days post the day he scammed us - unsure of how we would have done this given that we left the country after 3 nights in Bruges? Can easily show proof of this. He also stated that we came to Bruges after midnight - again untrue - we were checked into a nearby hotel and in bed asleep before midnight. Can show credit card timestamps to prove this. The lies from this man continue. To be honest it seems he just developed a dislike to us once my friend used my nickname whilst talking to him on the phone as we were travelling towards Bruges - possibly as it is Eastern European - he then accused me of being a prostitute (to be very clear - I am not, and I was travelling with my fiance).

The location was perfect, super central, and the host is super friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful.

It was in a traditional building but it was sensitively updated and had all the facilities you need. Very close to the centre but on a quiet street

Wim persona eccezionale che ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie. Camera molto bella e pulita con una stupenda sala in comune al piano di sopra veramente caratteristica.

Very comfortable space in the middle of everything. The host was very helpful and gave a lot of great recommendations.
