The pros: super cute and cozy cabins. Warm and dry the whole time. Helpful staff and closer to matanuska glacier than Anchorage. The staff left treats in the fridge and kitchen for you. The cons: Stairs were excessively tall inside (built for a giant, and I’m 6’3”) no laundry, and the driveway was so icy it was absolutely treacherous.

We enjoyed our short stay here while up in the valley watching basketball. It was cute and comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was the ice where we parked our car. We were parked at the top of a hill and there was not enough sand to prevent slipping. So it was a little scary walking to and from the car. But I would stay here again and recommend it. Just be careful if you stay during winter months.

"Luxurious Cabins in Wasilla"

10.0

These cabins are a hidden gem in Wasilla. They are two bedroom, two bath cabins with full kitchens which are luxuriously furnished. We totally enjoyed our stay there as we enjoyed being a remote location to enjoy the beauty of Alaska while being close to the cities of Wasilla, Palmer and Anchorage.

The property was beautiful, and it had every amenity that a person could ask for. It is perfect for a relaxing couples or girlfriends weekend. There was a lovely gas fireplace, gorgeous furnishings, and breakfast goodies which I did not expect. The only negative that I have regarding the property is that the parking is much farther than it appears in the photo, and you must travel up a very long and difficult to navigate flight of stairs to make it to your accommodations. The little snippet of stairs shown in the photos is about 1/4 of the stairs you will have to navigate. I had a large suitcase of gifts that I was going to distribute to friends and family, and planned to sort through them in the chalet, but I couldn't get it up the stairs, even though the suitcase has wheels. One long set of stairs is very steep, the other long set of stairs has gravel on it. The office was closed when I arrived, so I couldn't even request help. I had to leave my suitcase in the car. If you have someone with mobility issues in your party, I would check ahead to see if there is a back way to get into the chalets. Having said all that, I definitely plan on rebooking at the chalets the next time I am in the area. They were beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. I will just pack a smaller bag next time.

It was a great stay, very quiet, awesome view of the mountains, nice big jacuzzi tub, king bed, and a kitchen with everything you need to cook for yourself.
