"An expensive youth hostel"

Beautiful countryside and settings.

The pool was empty and the room looked like it had seen better days. More like an old fashioned youth hostel.

"A convenient stop over"

I was the only person staying. The room was ok but could have been nearer the ground floor as I was the only person there. The dinner was very good

The hotel was desolate and my room was up 3 flights of stairs which was unnecessary with an old dog

"Great overnight stop once again"

Great stop off on way south from Chunnel. 4 hours including dog stops! Very friendly staff and excellent quality restaurant. Note the best steak is the faux filet rather than the entrecôte!

Nice bathroom. Pleasant waitress at dinner.

Due to having a dog with us, we asked for a room handy for the garden. We were given a soleless room on the 3rd floor, small with just a tv - no paintings, pictures or any extras. we could have stayed in a formula 1 hotel for half the price. Dismal place with h ardly any staff. Crazy golf not open - indoor swimming pool empty.

"Good for an overnight stay"

The location - fabulous. The building exterior- beautiful. The bathroom in our room - lovely. The restaurant-waitress was super, really chatty & friendly and our food was delicious.

To be fair, I think we were literally the only clients that night. But absolutely no-one around on arrival. Had to ring and wait some time. We had to pay before she gave the key, and then we never saw her again. If we had a problem, not sure if anyone was there overnight. The room was very very basic, the double bed small .

The restaurant was very good. The food was lovely and the wine was delicious . We did book in advance which was good as we were the only people, we were off season though.

The hotel was very disappointing. The beds were very uncomfortable and there was dust all under the bed which made me sneeze the whole time I was in the room. I checked the mattress protector and it had black hair on it. I slept on towels and in my clothes. The hotel was musty smelling and dark. I would not stay here again even though the location is pretty good being on the A26.
