Hotel Jardim Viana do Castelo

Great location. Hotel clean, very good accommodations. Shower great. Bed good. Liked lift for luggage. Like historical features in each lobby. I had added a friend on my journey and thought I added her to the reservation. But had not actually paid the extra yet. Front desk staff very accommodating and allowed us to pay on arrival.

Beautiful building close to restaurants and cafes. Lovely, spacious room with comfy bed and balcony.

Beautiful old school hotel. Big rooms with deep windows and balconies. I had a room at the front overlooking the waterfront. So comfortable. Great breakfast. Great massage after a long and beautiful Camino walk. Terrific tapas place around the corner. Loved it.

Underbart vackert stort rum, med rosa detaljer och högt i tak! Eget badrum med rosa detaljer! Härlig frukost för 10 euro. Ligger bra på caminovägen.

Allt fantastiskt!

The hotel is in need of an update. The room was large enough but the bathroom was very old fashioned with a cheap white toilet seat on the existing blue toilet. The entrance lobby is not very welcoming. Crammed on entry with a dark and rather cluttered reception area to the right. There should be a dedicated space for guests to store luggage rather than it being left in a pile near the lift (which is also in serious need of updating).

The staff were great and very kindly met our request to have a room with a river view. We were above any street noise and the Hotel was quiet. It is conveniently located near a good Indian Restaurant and the major attractions in the city as well as being on the Camino. Great breakfasts.

Although it’s accurately described as a Two Star Hotel this, in no way, suggests that it is deficient in any respect.

Lovely place and the shower had high pressure

It was so noisy! Glass bottles being thrown into a bin and loud talking/laughing. No sleep until midnight.
