Santana Beach Resort

Stayed in Santana for 3N/4D in Jan 2015 with my family - went there on a recommendation of a friend. The place is just-OK and pretty much meant for the foreign tourists. The breakfast is terrible with only 1 vegetarian dish per day (not a typo - just one). Cleanliness in restaurant was below average and so was the taste of the food. There are only a couple of decent Indian food joints (e.g. earthen oven) for which you've to walk half-a-kilometer on the aguada main road. The place hardly has anything more than a small garden and a pool tinier than what you find in your apartment complex. Overall I wouldn't recommend it to Indians - esp people traveling with their family. Strangely, the hotel front-desk wouldn't pay me the receipt for my stay - he said 'you have booked online - that's the only receipt' ! The only good thing about the stay was that the Beach is very accessible from Santana, clean and less-crowded .

Very nice experience...relaxing and quiet. Food was excellent/not pricey. Staff was most helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good trip, child friendly hotel, good food and very clean resort

The resort is good value for money - it's a very pleasant setting (though not as lavish as a top-tier resort) and for a reasonable price. Has two (smallish) swimming pools, an open-air restaurant and a pleasant green and leafy atmosphere. Room was large, a bit sparsely decorated but comfortable. The resort's best selling point is its location, right next to Candolim beach, close to several beach shack restaurants/bars and not far from one of the old Portuguese forts (Aguada Fort). The main city Panjim and Old Goa are only a 20/25-minute drive away also. One must-do: if you're willing to brave a bit of hair-raising Indian traffic, hiring scooters from the hotel (a steal at 250 rupees a day) is a fantastic way to get out and explore the area.

It was an excellent place for a relaxing holiday in Goa, cosy cottages with very simple interiors, a lovely property with gardens and winding paths, poolside restaurant and best of all the beach at the back exit. And all this in the fun town of Candolim with restaurants and shopping all around.

We stayed at the Resort for 4 nights,it was an awesome experience staying in the resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was very good.Had a great time in pools which were well maintained. Excellent sunken pool bar.The best was the proximity to the beach, hardly a minute walk.Will definitely recommend to everyone. We thank very one at Santana beach Resorts for making our trip to Goa , a memorable one. Best Wishes .

Quite a nice hotel, though was a little difficult to find as google map was showing an incorrect location (about a few 100 m away). The room is surprisingly large with a balcony (we couldn't use our's as we got ground floor and the balcony was right opposite to the bar and walkway). Very close to the beach.

pros -very close to the beach and fort aguada -can stroll on the beach early morning and evenings -neat no frills rooms cons - food reasonable. buffet spread limited - no recreation options for kids [ except the pool ]

We had a lovely time at this resort. It was value for money we paid.

Just simply awesome experience !!! Food, Room and Hotel Staff...everything rocks at this place.
