The location - hidden away, so close to the port by foot. Fantastic views

The accommodation was very basic and unimaginative. The interiors were very dated in the bedroom.

"Probably my most enjoyable hotel stay ever. I was genuinely sad to leave."

I had a spacious east-facing room with a balcony and an uninterrupted view over the old town, the harbour and the islands of Herm and Sark. The members of the hotel staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly - and each day they provided me with an excellent breakfast and evening meal.

I really could not find anything to fault.
