Campfield House

Nothing went well. It was a very disappointing experience.

DO NOT STAY AT CAMPFIELD HOUSE! All utilities (including water) rely on electricity. After a storm, we spent the entire night with no power, lights, WIFI, refrigeration, drinking water, showers, sanitation etc. The owner had no backup systems in place, not even torches or portable lights, so we staggered around in the dark using our phones to see where we were going. A bucket of water to flush the toilet was grudgingly provided (but not refilled). The owner stated the storm was an “act of God” and apparently (although it was his premises that were affected) the guests should bear 100% of the consequences – no refunds. Booking.com will not advocate on behalf of their customers. They will pass on your request for a refund but will not apply any pressure when the owner refuses.

La propreté et la modernité de la chambre (port USB aux lampes, grande smarttv). Tout est d'une grande propreté, confortable et bien agencé avec goût.

Prendre la voiture pour aller en ville mais on le savait et ce n'était donc pas un problème.

La chambre est très propre et au calme, la literie est très confortable.

L'accueil est sympathique mais expéditif. La salle de bain est très petite.

L'hébergement est situé à environ 15 minutes en voiture du centre de Fort William. C'est pratique mais il manque de l'éclairage pour accéder à la propriété de nuit. La vue sur le lac est jolie mais on n'en profite pas depuis la chambre. Le confort général de la chambre est correct mais l'ensemble est très petit (avec notamment une toute petite salle de bains/toilettes). Bien pour une nuit de passage.

Campfield House was on the banks of Loch Linnhe, with lovely views from the garden across the Loch. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and there were tea and coffee making facilities. The ensuite shower room was small, but clean and tidy.

Campfield House is advertised as a B&B and, although no meal plan was purchased at the time of booking, we expected to be able to get a breakfast at this property. Photos on the website also show pictures of breakfast being served, so this not being available was disappointing.
