Boston Lodge

No problems really other than the WiFi, with 2 17 year olds it was an issue! Breakfast was very nice too!

An absolutely lovely place to stay, friendly hosts so so clean and spacious room for a family. The breakfast was hot and filling and overall a superb value for value for money. Situated close enough so it is easy to find. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for the second time this year. Same as last time, it was an excellent stay, friendly staff and also great breakfast choices.

This bed and breakfast was different to any I have stayed in before for two reasons: 1, to check in you don't meet anyone, you just grab your key from the hook and write down what you would like for breakfast the next day. - Perfect if you want to get away for the weekend without having to make small talk and/or have social anxiety ;-) 2, the shower is in the room (not en suite, literally next to the bed) oh, and so is the sink. Best bits 1, Breakfast! Lots of choice, fantastic quality and well cooked, our requests were welcomed and met. 2,The room was very clean and looks to have been recently decorated. 3, ABSOLUTE BARGAIN PRICE! Less than perfect bits: 1,The bed was uncomfortable (but this could be a personal preference for us) and the pillows were incredibly hard. 2, Payment was taken without my presence, and then it turned out that a duplicate payment had been taken (then immediately refunded) without my being informed so I panicked when I saw my bank statement and misread it). When I rang in a panic the owner(?) was incredibly polite, explained what happened and apologised for not letting me know. Other good bits Fresh fruit always available Plenty of parking. TV/DVD in room TV showing news and weather during breakfast was very helpful. Overall a nice weekend away and I would recommend The Boston Lodge as a place to rest your head!

Easy check in. Staff were discrete and friendly. Local pub (the barge) virtually next door. Facilities were fine. Wifi was intermittent in our room but fine in dining area. My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing 2 night stay.

Bed was comfortable but the facilities in the room were very sparse( tiny cup for tea/coffee, only small amount of tea/coffee, remote control didn't work for the tv - which was not rectified after reporting it to staff) Customer service needs some work as comes across as quite cold, saying that they accommodated an early breakfast for me, which was very nice of them. Breakfast was nice but the sausage was very very small :(

Ample parking, even for the 3.5 ton box van I was driving. My room was spacious, as was the ensuite, and Towels were plentiful. There was a good supply of Tea, Coffee and Milk together with cups and an electric kettle. The bed must have been comfortable as I retired at 9 o'clock and didn't wake up until 6 o'clock in the morning!! Breakfast comprised of Cereal, Fruit Juice, Fry Up, Toast and Coffee. The staff were friendly and should the occasion arise, I would be happy to return.

Just as expected

Ok for one night stay, property is a little tired and in need of sprucing up other than that all was ok. Breakfast was excellent.

The owners were very hospitable and breakfast was excellent. The house is a little run down, but the price was low so it was economical to stop here overnight
