Parking was difficult. Although I had not specified at 82 the stairs were difficult and on 2nd floor.there were no ground floor rooms available.

The Staff in the pub were lovely and the food was very nice. The accommodation was a bit shabby, not that clean and quite noisy.

It could've been cleaner

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the accommodation was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I was travelling for work, and the team even provided me with a meeting space at short notice. All round really impressed and would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable room, pleasant staff and great atmosphere in bar and lounge areas. Food quality at breakfast excellent.

Breakfast service disjointed and quite chaotic. No bowls, side plates etc. Coffee took an age to arrive. No WiFi reception in bedroom, told it was boosters causing problem and they would be reset. Problem not resolved. Bedroom and bathroom in need of revamp. Clean and comfortable for price but rather basic.

We stopped here at Sunday dinner time with a dog. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and had a fabulous g/f d/f fish and chips and mushy peas. My husband had the steak and ale pie - he said it was superb. The service was excellent and the surroundings comfortable and plush. Would definitely visit again..

Centrally located in a large village that continues to be vibrant and thriving, with plenty of dining and drinking options. The Swan nevertheless manages to stay in touch with its origins as a coaching inn, and has retained its character. The danger of creating large functional areas with no character has been thankfully avoided.

No WiFi in my room (19), but there’s more to life than that!

My husband surprised me for Lunch today as we have been here many times and never had any issues. However today 4/3/26 we went for lunch, my husband had the Boneless Chicken for a starter which he said was very nice, I ordered the Scallops which I might add cost £14 for only 2 Scallops and a tiny bit of Pea Puree. The wait was longer than usual for a starter which we didn't mind but the Main meals came out at the same time as the Starters, my husband and I go for meals regularly and had never had this happen before......very disappointing and I did mention this to the Waitress who was lovely who I appreciate wasn't her fault. I will be giving this restaurant a wide berth for a while as it has really put us both off.
