Alta Vista Motel

Very dated property and needs major facelift!

Hotel was not bad just if you are looking for a shower the well water here has alot of sulfur in it and has a strong Rotten egg smell which made me unable to shower due to the smell.

My partner and I stayed here last minute and should have slept in the truck. We are carpenters and know building code and this place was a serious HEALTH HAZARD DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Tons of black mold in the bathroom and the water seemed unsafe to drink. Brushed our teeth with water bottles this morning as the pipes smelt like the were rotting. Water damage on the ceiling and fully exposed outlet boxes and much more. They will not give you a refund for the condition of the room. Honestly not sure how this place passed their inspection & is still operating. STAY AWAY.

Staff very friendly room very clean happy with everything

Its a motel in northern ontario on the trans canada. Bed was comfy and i liked the roku tv. Everything else is outdated like many have said and upgrades are badly needed. Curtains didnt close all the way in my room and the walls are paper thin. Its alright for an overnight place to rest if you are ok with motel environment.

3 police cars at 3am was a little un-nerving.

Property was tidy and clean, but requires major overhaul, bathroom in a terable condition looks about 50 years old
