Parkeren was goed geregeld, je kon zowel voor als achter het hotel parkeren en er was voldoende parkeerplaats. Het team was vriiendelijk en geintereseerd in zijn gasten. Een goede uitvalsbasis om de prachtige omgeving te ontdekken en op loopafstand van het stadje om een hapje te gaan eten.

Het ontbijt was niet heel uitgebreid qua keuzes, het was allemaal niet slecht maar ook niet vier sterren waardig.

We had a family of 4 staying in one room and the beds and spacing worked well. The location was walking distance to town. Parking was not a problem. Breakfast was lovely each morning.

Very close to town and to Muckross Abbey.

This hotel is in the perfect location to enjoy Killarney, even if you don’t have a car. (We did, and were happy that there was plenty of free parking on the property.) Both of the reception staff were wonderfully cheerful and helpful. It was fancier than I had anticipated given that the cost was more budget friendly than other places in town. There was a beautiful lounge that served drinks at 5pm, a separate library room open to all, and a beautiful dining room where the wait staff was just amazing for the included breakfast. The room itself was nice. The mattress was not uncomfortable. There was not a mini-fridge in the room, but the kitchen was happy to store something in theirs for me. The hotel is surrounded by a small border of lovely gardens that can be enjoyed by just opening the window. I would very definitely stay here again and again.

Just want to thank Nial and all the staff for a wonderful 3 night stay . We had a fantastic time and couldn't recommend this guesthouse enough. The room was spotless and breakfast lovely, a special mention to Maura who served us breakfast a lovely lady who couldn’t do enough for us. Another thing which helps greatly is its close location to Killarney town only 1 Km away . Couldn't help notice how Nial keeps the whole place in mint condition. Look forward to our next stay. Very good location and very friendly staff!

The property is very quaint. The breakfast dining hall and staff are fantastic. They seem to genuinely care about the guests. We appreciated them immensely.

The rooms are a bit tired. Bedding and in room amenities are just average…at best. The lobby, bar area, and front lounge are tired. No working main fireplaces is a missed opportunity. The bar selection is minimal with below average offerings. I really wanted to like The Old Weir lodge, but I’d pass. If you’re looking for a more elevated experience…search elsewhere.

All aspects of the hotel were great. The bar for guests, the small snug and the morning breakfasts were perfect.
