In Rising Sun for only one evening but we'll return.

Marsha the owner, was very accommodating. The rooms were delightful. Hotel located right across from Ohio River. Had a large porch that you could sit to watch the boats on the river. Close to downtown. Check out the Mexican restaurant downtown. Great food.

Great place. The upstairs porch could use a good cleaning including some of the outdoor furniture. Overall, it is a real nice place and convenient to the Creation Museum, not as much so for the Ark; but still not too bad. The owner is really nice and very helpful. She had several good suggestions for where to eat. We tied a few and were pleased. There is a microwave and full size fridge available for guests and bottled water inside for drinking - the tap water has a sulphur taste. There are also some snacks available. The owner uses plug in air fresheners and they were a bit strong. We unplugged ours and it got better. The a/c was kickin' and it was a chilly 71 degrees in the hall. We put one of our bags over the floor vent and that helped warm it up a little in our room. We prefer 76 or so.

The description of the rooms is VERY misleading. The suite would have slept all of 6 in our party. We rented 3 rooms based on the description of the size of the rooms and how many they slept. The owner even admitted that the listing was “mis leading”. I made a comment that if we known I wouldn’t have had to book the 2 additional rooms saving us almost $200! She did not offer to credit and allow us to just use the enormous suite due to the “mid leading” web description. Nor did she even seem apologetic... Also it says “continental breakfast included” What u are offered in a far stretch of a “continental breakfast”. Pretty much little Debbie cookies and junk. We did see a few packets of instant oatmeal... make sure if u choose to book u call and ask how many ppl a room accommodates other wise u will be like us with extra wasted money on rooms u really don’t need!

tv remote did not work. we did ask for help as the desk was closed. no telephone i could see

We have stayed here several times and loved it.
