"Value hotel with futons."

Interesting hotel with futons / mattresses on the floor - maybe not for everyone but fine for most. Shoes not allowed past reception and automatic checkout worked fine. Breakfast in hotel was good. Good value for money and ‘green’ hotel. Near the JR station and attractions.

"Superb"

The room was much larger than normal for Japan. The Onsen was excellent. The staff were very helpful in explaining how it worked. The breakfast was superb with lots of local produce and plenty of choices

"Takayama is a small town and there is much to see and do The hotel is within in walking distance."

This is a large hotel , many rooms overlook car parks. The rooms are normal size for Japanese Hotels. They are comfortable. The breakfast has the usual international buffet items. It took a bit of searching to find what I wanted to eat. The hotel is centrally located as there is plenty to see and do in Takayama.

It is REALLY outdated, and needs a renovation. The onsen was packed and not clean.
