"Excellent"

We have been staying at hunters inn for 18 years. It has been decorated and great improvements have been made. I feel there is a risk of losing tbe character of the inn. I’m not keen on seeing old building decorated in a contemporary style and colour, im surprised the national trust has done this. The holiday was lovely, it was cleAn and comfortable.

"Needs improvement"

Hotel is in a great location, good walks and lovely scenery to enjoy. Room spacious but bed not very comfortable, and pillows musty. Hotel gave impression that it needed a good all over clean, and also some staff indifferent to guests (e.g. hoovering the dining room during breakfast!); other staff very good, focused & helpful. Also too many dogs, which is off putting for some of us...

"Fantastic Hotel"

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and had a fantastic time. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was big and spacious and the hotel was nicely appointed with a great lounge bar and outdoor seating areas to the front and rear of the hotel. The restaurant menu was really good and we could easily have extended our stay just to try more of the delicious items on the menu.

"12th Wedding Anniversary"

Couldn't fault our stay!! We are local to this pub (Barnstaple) and is a favourite place to come with the kids for a nice walk followed by an ice-cream or a cream tea, however this time we were kid free and stayed overnight!! The quietness was tranquil, the view amazing and the food omg!!! The staff couldn't do enough to make us feel more welcome and the room was comfortable and well equipped X Thank you Hunters Inn Mr & Mrs Dayman
