The Lugger Inn

We had room 5 which had a bay window over looking the sea, the room was dated and the decoration was tiered. the breakfast times were to early for us 8.00 - 9.00. the restaurant was great freshly cooked meals.

We had a three night stay here and enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially as one day we wanted an early breakfast as we were going on a day boat trip to the Scilly Isles. We had an evening meal off the Italian menu of Bolognese which was very tasty. Room had a view towards St Michael’s Mount, also it was a very comfortable bed and the room was a good size. Would recommend the open top tour on the bus from Penzance bus station, which takes you around the Cornish coast, either clockwise or anti clockwise. We did anti clockwise as it was the first one to come. It took us via Marazion, St Ives and Lands End and back to Penzance, a round tour of around 3 hours 45 minutes

Nice location, clean but basic room, shower wasn't very good, could do with an update. Good food evening meals available. Breakfast ok but don't start until 8am, if working then be aware. Parking could be tricky, sea front currently free but not many spaces. All staff seem friendly. Walls are pretty thin and layout is quirky

Served a pint of Sharp's Solar Wave - warm, cloudy and foul tasting. Barman admitted probably off and that was that. No refund or alternative pint. With the price of beer nowadays may as well go to Lidl. Food good but beer on this occasion not that great.

Visited on a Sunday and 3 of us had the Sunday carvery. It really was excellent. A good choice of meat and even better selection of delicious vegetables. Very well organised and the staff were friendly. I would highly recommend and will be coming back soon. 10/10

Staff are Lovely. Room was exceptionally spacious with a beautiful sea view. Lovely big shower room. When you get your key it is 24 hour access so no worry about having to be back by a particular time. Breakfast was perfect.

We've stayed here previously so when we decided to return to Penzance, Lugger Inn was our first choice. Beautifully decorated, inside and out. Great chef, great food, great service, great location.

Old building with charm and stairs. Full hot buffet breakfast. Room very comfortable with sitting area to watch pedestrians along the strand. Coffee and tea in room. 20 minute walk from bus/train station. Food trucks on strand, restaurant on bottom. Lidl groceries a 5 min walk away. Pubs and shopping close by. Bring a rain jacket.
