Hotel La Roseraie

Charme surrané de l hôtel . Personnel accueillant , souriant et efficace.

Bon petit dejeuner. Le personnel et la gérante sont charmants mais cela ne fait pas oublier la vétusté des lieux . Cet hôtel mériterait d’avoir un ascenseur, des moquettes propres et une décoration plus actuelle. Dommage…

We had 3 rooms all next to each other with an outside terrace which meant we could all get together there (fortunately the weather was good). The location for the castle is perfect and there was plenty of private parking at the hotel. The hotel gardens are pretty and well maintained and the staff were very welcoming and friendly and efficient. The beds were all a good size and very comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets were in the cupboard and a kettle with tea/coffee in the room. We ate in the restaurant and all enjoyed our meals.

There is a general need for some maintenance work and updating. This is a shame as it’s a pretty hotel in a great location. The bath towels were very small. Breakfast was adequate but expensive. We were charged the full buffet price although nobody actually asked us if we had taken that option. Which in fact not all of us had on either day. - Our fault for not checking the bill before paying.
