Very cool architecture, and got to stay in the hotel that some people go to visit

The wifi does not work in the rooms. The staff also weren’t very informative about the hotel or their facilities, for example was not aware of the rooftop restaurant until after I left.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, warto zatrzymać się chociaż na jedną noc aby poczuć dawny klimat. Śniadanie nie najgorsze ale rozczarowujące, mało lokalnych specjałów na które się nastawialiśmy. Ogólnie pokoje zalatują komuną ale na dole znajduje taka sala balowa, jakiej nie widziałam nigdzie !!! Na pewno można zorganizować ślub marzeń. Polecam mimo wszystko

Сантехника убитая

The location is brilliant, opposite the clean and green Amir Temur Square/Park and very close to the Amir Temur metro station. But apart from the historical fact of being the first Soviet-style hotel in Uzbekistan, there is nothing much to recommend this place. The rooms (we had five) were cramped and the mattresses sagged. The toilets were quite basic. Housekeeping often did not show up to clean the rooms or to leave bottled water, and only after repeated phone calls to Reception did we get anything at all. Check-in was nightmarish. The staff took forever to assign rooms on our return trip, and then gave one of us a room that had not been cleaned. When asked why the room was not assigned even after two hours of waiting, the staff were downright rude. Now that we know Uzbekistan a bit better after our fifteen-day trip, we will definitely avoid this hotel.
