Excellent food and fantastic staff

Rooms somewhat dated but it's an old building

Food was great, pub atmosphere was good. Lovely cafe across the road for breakfast . Room was fine . Hot water and warm enough . Good supplies of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Walls were paper thin and floor boards were really noisy . Could hear people through walls- it was as though they were in the same room.

Very poor shower in en-suite Doors did not meet well enough to stop water wetting the floor outside. The water also stopped altogether during use on 4 occasions. No light in en-suit other than main light which also turned on a very noisy extract fan making it very difficult to use the facility during the night without disturbing the room. "Pet whinge" no where to place suitcases. Folding racks could easily fit in rooms and make a big difference to older guests and save having to put then on the bed with the potential soiling of bedding. As the access to the main building is not possible in the mornings it was not possible to report the problem with any prospect of having anything done about them during our stay. Neither was it obvious who one would raise the issues with.

Food service and quality was good and bar staff very efficient and pleasant Very comfortable bed Spacious room.

The shower cubicle in the first room was broken. When moved to the next room the shower was stone cold. On complaint as we left we were promised a refund but did not get one. The number we contacted as advertised in the room three days later told us he no longer worked at the inn.

Food excellent; staff and atmosphere in the pub was great!

We couldn’t get the electric shower to provide hot water.

The pub was cozy and the manager was really friendly and helpful

On arrival I was informed there was no heating, the manager put an electric radiator in the room but it took some time for it to heat up. Once warm though it was really cosy and comfortable. There was a problem with the water pressure and temperature with the shower but the manager sorted it really quickly. The seal on the shower was hanging off and lying on the floor of the shower. I tried to push it back up but cudnt. It was abit sharp and I caught my foot on it getting out of the shower. The manager informed me of a pool tornament on that evening. At about 1am I could still hear noise coming up from the bar.
