Samara Hotel

Wir waren im Hotel für eine Nacht "auf der Durchreise" auf unser Oman-Rundreise. Für diesen Zweck war das Zimmer mehr als ausreichend, wir hatten es uns ja auch wegen dem günstigen Preis (für Maskat-Verhältnisse) ausgesucht. Verkehrsgünstig gelegen, nettes Personal, sauberes Zimmer, wenn auch recht klein. Mehr braucht man nicht für eine eine Nacht, für eine Woche wäre das gebuchte Zimmer vielleicht etwas klein. Aber es gibt wohl auch größere Zimmer, alles eine Frage des Preises.

A good choice if flying out of Muscat this is a business-type hotel, not one for a tourist stay in Muscat. However, plenty of eating choices nearby and a decent curry is to be had in the hotel restaurant. Large, very clean room but no bedside light and have to walk across the room to turn out the ceiling light: unusual in a decent hotel.

Hotel was great for the price. Staff all friendly, room decent size and clean. Bathroom also quite large with good shower. Location was good but we found it a little difficult to find. Would definitely recommend it for a well priced simple hotel. There is a restaurant but we didn't eat there.

I was very disappointed in my stay. After one night, I found another hotel. The staff was not friendly and there is not much in the area. No pool, but the Internet was hit or miss in the room. Awoke every morning at 4:30 am by the mosque across the street. Loud and Very disrupting. Personally, I wouldn't to stay here again. The staff is not helpful. They don't seem to care about guests.

I booked this hotel for my second trip to Muscat, because I had had enjoyed the first one. +

Very good check in service by the reception staff on arrival . Luggage porter very well mannered and spoken. Suite is great value and clean . Will certainly come back and stay here .

The hotel is clean, close to all other similar hotels, but is distant from the major tourist sights. I used it for simple accommodation and was well satisfied. I would stay there again if I could not find an alternative hotel closer to the older part of Muscat.

It's a good, basic hotel--clean, comfortable and convenient.

For a cheap hotel in Muscat this is the place it is fairly central… The shopping centre is just down the street in behind the hotel a few blocks away. The room is sparse, and minimal with outdated furnishings and simple bedding. It had clean tile floors, and the bathroom was clean and worked… The hotel was quiet, until the morning prayers commenced with the mosque located directly across the street, maybe something to consider. For a budget hotel… It was all I really needed.

Samara is an excellent hotel at a great price and in a very good location. The hotel is well maintained (clean) and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The majority of the staff speak English quite well with the front desk staff being fluent in multiple languages. During my entire stay (5 days about two weeks ago), the hotel operated at full occupancy (80 rooms I think). Due to it's rates and location, it's a very attractive place. I was most impressed with how accommodating the hotel manager was in making sure that my family and I had a pleasant stay.
