We stayed here for five nights soon after they opened for the season, everything was good to go. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. There's nothing special about the rooms which are clean and comfortable, the best part is the view! Every room looks over the Yellowstone river and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. The restaurant serves breakfast for overnight guests, each morning we were greeted by Lisa who is not only is a great cook but also a joy to converse with. There's really no reason to go elsewhere for dinner, the dinner and service is exceptional. The hotel is at a great location with and easy and scenic drive from Bozeman airport and Yellowstone.

For someone who loves mountains, the big sky, silence and nature, this place is a dream. We were really excited for our trip to Yellowstone, and the Valley Lodge did not disappoint. The cabins are located along the river bank, and watching the sunrise from our back porch (or even the living room through the glass doors) was an amazing way to start the day. The hotel is located about 35 minutes from the park north entrance, so close enough to the park while not in the middle of the buzz of the city of Gardiner. The cabin was a little dated, but that didn’t bother us. It had everything we needed and it was clean. The breakfast was simple but very good to start the day. The area also has a nice trail to take a morning walk, and fire pits to sit around in the evening. Visiting Yellowstone was a dream come true, and staying at the Valley Lodge helped make our experience even more magical.

This was an amazing experience. On the banks of the Yellowstone River, we enjoyed a breathtaking view every morning, whether sunny or overcast. The breakfast, provided by Chef Lisa, was the perfect variety and blend of sweet treats and healthy options. We had an amazing dinner at the Yellowstone Grill that would rival any of the top restaurants in Montana. They were very pet friendly and their half mile walking path by the river allowed our Kirby the opportunity to stretch his legs after a long day riding in the truck around the park. Getting up early to enjoy the wonder of the night sky is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. All in all, I cannot think of a better place for someone who wants to be close to Yellowstone Park, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of Montana.

Wonderful hotel! Friendly staff and yummy breakfast. Views were incredible right on the river.
