Florence Inn

Clean rooms and bathrooms, hot showers, comfortable beds, cable tv with a few english language movies channels. Staff were helpful and courteous, and the included breakfast was lovely with both indian and western options. The hotel is close to the metro station (Karol Bagh) which is a great way to get around Delhi. You have to pay for wi-fi.

Nice hotel in the middle of Karol Bagh shopping area and only few minutes walk from metro. Clean, but a bit worn and quite small rooms. We received good service from the staff. Recommended.

This hotel is located in a busy area of Karol Bagh, yet it is away from street noises. We stayed here for one night and were satisifed with their services. Breakfast was fine.

Hotel located in Karol Bagh. this is a bazaar area with lots of shops and lots of people in the street. Good for shopping. The odd restaurant is also there. Close to Metro, which is good Hotel is clean and neat and good value for money. Some rooms have no daylight, but this is quite common for hotels in the area. Gave me a smoker room first although I had ordered non-smoking room. Gave me desired room on my second night. Friendly staff at reception. The taxis I booked with them were expensive. I think one can get that cheaper elsewhere.

Hotel is well maintained and staff is generally friendly although some staff are more helpful than others. Hotel is one block from a shopping street that includes a nightly shopping market. Two blocks away is a wonderful restaurant

A breath of fresh air is had when you walk into the Florence Inn after driving down the street to get to it and seeing the state of other hotels in the immediate vicinity. The staff are very friendly and professional, the rooms are fairly compact but with enough room to move and are kept spotlessly clean as is the rest of the hotel. The food is lovely and it is great to be able to eat in the hotel before having to venture out. The area is vibrant and intense but has easy access to other eateries and sights, it feels safe to walk at nights although I was happy to be with another person. The Florence is is well worth the room rates.

I found this to be a good place to stay, near the Karol Bargh Metro Station and the big bazaar "where the affluent people of New Delhi go to shop" according to Wikipedia. I like being closer to the culture rather than being in a hotel that caters to those who want the completely western approach. The breakfast room (AKA the restaurant" is a bit like that of a small Parisien hotel, but without the romance. I took most of my meals in my room. They were excellent, and being freshly cooked, safe to eat. There was, as promised 24 hour hot water! The air conditioning worked...sort of. I think that the unit in my room was running low on refrigerant, but as it was the cool time of the year, I just put it down to being part of the "Indian experience" Most of the staff have passable English, and the manager has excellent English. He personally took over from his staff re my difficulties with contacting Singapore Airlines and he personally sorted out my ticket change...top marks to him. I would certainly stay there again

First trip to India so unsure what to expect. At the end of a month's stay in India I can put the Florence Inn into perspective. It is a basic hotel but has some very good qualities. Good location as close to a market and a very good cafe/restaurant called Crossroads. It is also 'in the thick' of things but is set on a very quiet side road which reduces traffic noise considerably. Breakfast is enough to get you started for the day. The Indian breakfast is far better than the continental fare. Front desk staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean but quite dated and a very old air con system which is really too noisy to sleep with but there is a fan instead. View from the room was a few brick walls. It is a safe environment. Would stay again.
