Этот старинный отель впечатлил своим возрастом и новым внутренним убранством. Старина встретилась с современностью. Вид из нашего номера был восхитительным, нам удалось увидеть это место без толп туристов. Ребенок 12 лет проживал с нами бесплатно. Завтрак - шведский стол, выбор не большой, но вкусный, много фруктов. Добраться можно либо на фуникулере либо на необычном поезде. Вокруг есть пешеходные маршруты. Также на территории есть кафе-столовая, не дешево, но очень разнообразно и вкусно. Есть комната хранения багажа, удобно. И конечно впечатлила святыня - Черная Мадонна, всегда есть небольшая очередь и надо приобретать билеты, но для постояльцев этого отеля - вход бесплатный.

The location

Our stay was disappointing, mainly because of the lack of cleanliness and the way our concerns were handled. When we entered the room, the bathroom trash bin had not been emptied and still contained rubbish from the previous guest. The room in general was also not particularly clean. The biggest issue was breakfast. The breakfast room is relatively small, yet it was shared with a bus tour group of around 70 people who were not staying at the hotel. This resulted in long queues and an overcrowded dining area, making breakfast an unpleasant experience for hotel guests. When I raised this with the receptionist during check out, I suggested that the hotel might consider organizing breakfast differently when accommodating such large groups. His response was that we could simply have left and returned later. I replied that it would have been helpful if guests had been informed in advance that such a large group was expected. He responded that I could have asked. I found this reply dismissive and not in keeping with the level of service I would expect from a hotel. Montserrat itself is an amazing place to visit, but based on our experience I would recommend visiting it as a day trip rather than staying overnight at this hotel.

The location was incredible, amazing views outside of our rooms. Staying here means you get the place to yourself at daybreak which was an unforgettable experience.

Where should I start... The largest issues was that the rooms had 0 ventilation. No fans or air-conditioning. We had to practically beg for a portable one to be provided for us, and even then the room was unbearably hot in the summer months when I was there. Investing in a stronger standing fan would not cost the hotel much money and electricity, and given the prices they charge during peak seasons, they should really look into doing this.

En junio de 2026 había una ola de calor y las habitaciones no tenia aire acondicionado ni ventiladores. Ni siquiera con la ventana abierta se pudo dormir. El precio es excesivo para una habitación que necesita algo de mantenimiento en especial el baño. La ducha era enana con cortina y además estaba atascada. Las puertas de las habitaciones tenían holgura y daban golpes muy molestos. Tuve que poner unos papeles en la puerta de la habitación y de la habitación contigua para que no dieran golpes. El acceso al hotel es complicado. Sólo existe una plaza para descargar las maletas y luego hay que llevar el coche al parking de visitantes de Montserrat.
