Riyad Al Atik

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Prachtig dakterras. Leuke kookworkshop gedaan! Kamer en badkamer waren lekker ruim. Goede beschrijving gekregen hoe bij de riad te komen. Goede locatie dichtbij de hoofdstraat van de medina.

De douche deed het alleen goed als je hem in je hand hield, anders kwam er bijna geen straal uit. Ze gebruiken twee namen voor de riad, wat het een beetje onduidelijk maakt.

The Riad itself is nice - The room was a good size and the bathroom was done nicely. We took one of the rooms on the top floor which had access to the roof terrace which was great. (not the best views of the medina, but a very pleasant space on a hot afternoon). Cleaning and kitchen staff were lovely.

The Riad itself is managed by the same company as the hostel next door. As it was pretty quiet at the Riad there were no staff there at all, making a strangely empty atmosphere. Everything was handled by the hostel staff. Breakfast was taken in the courtyard of the hostel too. Check in and check out were a bit impersonal compared to other Riads we have stayed at which always have a lovely warm welcome, with people making sure you are having a good stay, and helpful when checking out (taxis/information etc). We asked for an early breakfast on our last day as we had an early flight - despite being told that would be OK, we we very rushed in the morning as the message hadn't been passed on to the relevant manager on duty.

Amazing riad, beautiful decor and a fab roof top bar and terrace, the stair upwards though are mighty so take care. Relatively quiet, I didn't hear morning prayers from my room. Good location but probably easy to lose. Don't think we went out alone without a guide until we left. They arranged for a tour guide to the major spots, I would advise this but be clear on price for day or half day. Roof terrace at prayer time is fab. Staff are great and friendly.

They allow smoking in breakfast area. There was a communal area outside our room and with only glass doors and a curtain you could hear everything. Our bathroom had a low ceiling, didn't affect us but could be an issue if you're taller than or brushing 1.80.

The location and the rooftop terrace in both our Riyad and the one next door where they serve breakfast and other meals.

It felt very empty and lifeless when we were there. Breakfast was served in a different Riyad next door which was nicer but still found that strange. Breakfast itself would benefit from fruits and possibly a buffet? It felt very basic. Not up to the level of the Riyad itself. Room felt quite cold but they did give us extra heaters which really helped!

Everyone were so kind and really helpful. Place is charming, and location is great.

We had a great stay with our family Unique room, AC and heater. everything was perfect. Hamsa the host greet us and he told all we ask for, what a nice person

I guess most of the locations are trucks to get too :) but with the Hotel is known and the helpers will get you there
