Georgioupolis Beach Hotel

It was decent distance from Chania airport so we could easily get there.

Very short staffed and abrupt. The facility is old and noisy. We could hear housekeeping doing laundry til 9 one night 11 the next. Felt like they were in the room with us.

Everything was great, staff, location, food and cleansiness

I liked everything that's why it was my 2nd visit

Georgioupolis is a lovely little place and it spolis you for going to other areas, you don't need a car and has everything and a great ambiance. Hotel is not expensive for what you get and would stay again for longer than our two nights.

Not sure half board was a good idea when there's so many good restaurants around the area all in walking distance. Microwave would be good in breakfast area to use.

Everything was amazing! Friendly staff, perfect location and delicious food.

The hotel is literally 2 min walk to the beach. The pool area was never crowded with beds available every day at all times of the day. I liked the fact they had signs saying if you reserve bed for longer than half an hour, your towels will be removed. The staff from the bar through to the reception were exceptional. Always friendly and always helpful. Food was lovely and you are given the choice of having your half board option for lunch or dinner which suited us perfectly because we like to eat out. All in all a perfect laid back hotel that we would return too.

Nothing but if I was to be picky, that the lunch menu buffet slightly from the evening menu.

Location was great

Needed to clean up around the hotel Mow the lawn. Fix the pool table. E bikes broken and seats impractical .

Great location - near the beach, shops and restaurants. Rooms were lovely, nice and cool despite hot weather. very comfy beds and decent size. we enjoyed our little terrace. Quiet around the swimming pool most days, no problems getting sun loungers. food was excellent - good choice for breakfast, and we loved being half board and having the choice of taking it at lunchtime or in the evening. Rooftop restaurant is lovely. staff were all friendly and helpful. great to have free laundry facility, also the terrace with jacuzzis.

It is near a main road so could be noisy but will help when hedges have grown a bit. sunbeds could do with cushions to make them more comfy but these are very small things.

Sadly due to unfortunate circumstances it was locked when we arrived in the early hours

I agree with previous comments that the location is good and the staff are friendly.

However, the hotel and food does not deserve a four star rating and it is overpriced. The pool is small and located right beside the public parking area, the hotel does not have a dedicated beach area and so guests will have to find and pay for sun beds at the public beach. There is a small fitness area and a jacuzzi that are supposed to compensate, however, you would expect that jacuzzis are refilled after each usage (!which we were told is not the case) . The rooms again are on the basic side and quite small. The roof bar has a fantastic view but in terms of the the food, it be better to have less quantity and more quality. I am glad we only stayed for a day, because there are better places to stay in the area.
