The room was nice, but the bathroom was a bit outdated (but still quite functional). There didn't seem to be hot hot water (just barely warm#, and we weren't sure if we turned the switch to the water heater on correctly but didn't bother checking this out because it was nice to take a cool shower during this hot #May# time of the year. The bed contained a very thin mattress which was too firm for our liking. After the first few nights there, our backs started to ache. This was the main drawback for us. The staff was very nice, and they brought us two one-litre bottles of water each day along with clean towels #which could have used some "Bounce" or "Downy" to soften their texture), so that was a nice touch. Being an American, I had trouble with the fast Indian/British accent. The Wi-Fi in the room worked well. Despite all of the car noise (people honk their horns as much as they brake), the room was very quiet. It could be due to being in the middle of the building where there was no window view. The location was perfect for us since it was within walking distance of the metro and other places we needed to be near. I would stay here again if they changed the bed to something much less firm.

The Solace ligger mellan de centralare, mer kaosartade stadsdelarna i Delhi och de södra förorterna vilket ger hotellet ett bra läge för den som vill upptäcka staden. Promenadavstånd till Metro och andra funktioner trots att promenaden gick i kanten på en väldigt trafikerad väg där trottoaren på många ställe var borta eller blockerad. Stadsdelen är dock välmående. Servicen på hotellet är klanderfri, med trevlig och hjälpsam personal, som verkar utan att synas. Room service är ett stort plus och maten som levererades punktligt var billig och god. Städningen var okej men badrummet var ständigt lite lortigt i hörnen. Gratis wifi är ett jätteplus. TV:n innehåller många kanaler för den uttråkade. Frukosten är som de brukar vara i Indien - kontinentala och utan finess. Indisk frukost också tillgänglig. Rummet var trevligt, men utan fönster. I Delhi är detta inte alltid ett minus - trafiken hördes inte så mycket på grund av det. Priset var bra för vad vi fick. I stort sett så är vi nöjda med vår vistelse på The Solace och kan rekommendera hotellet.
