LaPlace Motel

Our experience at this hotel was horrible!! First of all we asked to be put us in a wheelchair accessible room! They did not and there was no elevator. When we asked to change rooms he told us that's what we booked and if we didn't like it we could go somewhere else! He finally changed his mind and got us another room. customer service new we were coming from the Train station and that the hotel was out if town, not to our request, and we had to beg cab drivers to take us back and forth because it was working with travelers who come from other states and do not know!!! When we tried to return the key the next mining we had to wake the deck clerk up!!!! The room we ended up getting was a down grade and I do expect a refund!!!!

Pros: Staff was very friendly, clean bathroom, good air conditioning, cable TV, clean beds. Cons: carpet was old and stained, needs better locks, lack of toiletries Location: LaPlace, LA. Drive is abou 20 minutes to New Orleans. Motel is evidently very old but has some renovations. Nothing fancy but comfortable.

My request is with hotel. Com please send any of your official to that motel and check the rooms. The blankets were very dirty, pillows, the bed is shaking, carpet on floor seems like never washed so infected, bathroom is like fungus on curtain, even the main door cannot be locked properly it open it self couple of times. So for one night I paid $197 which is like someone robbed me. Please take it out from hotel.com or improve these kind of motels.

Motel is evidently very old but has some renovations. Nothing fancy but comfortable. Has 18 wheeler parking which for the area is hard to find.

the hotel needs alot work outside but very clean room and most of all close to rent a car just 15 min.

I thought the room we got was decent. Was handed an actual 'metal' key to enter so these guys were obviously behind the times. Also wish I had booked a non-smoking room but it wasn't available.

It's cheap and we needed a dog friendly we pick this one. The bathroom had been remodeled and a nice TV other than that it was pretty run down. It was also close to New Orleans.

Alhtough the staff was very nice, this motel is VERY OLD. Security is non-existent. There was only the toggle lock on my doorknob and you could see light through my door. There was no chain or deadbolt. I ended up propping my suitcase against the door for safety. Everything is old and out of date. Countertop surfaces are peeling away, carpet very old and worn, curtains & bedspreads very old and worn, just over all OLD. And price for the night was not in line for what the room/motel offered. Only reason I stayed here is because a client inadvertently scheduled a meeting the same time the BCS Bowl ended up being set in New Orleans - it was the only thing close that was available. Nice TV.

The service there was great, the rooms with the kitchenette was big and roomy...it was clean the rates are good, except after my first week the price went up alittle bit. Also I was only 10 minutes from my job site.
