Domaine de Pont Aven Art Gallery Resort

We stayed in the hotel for five nights - five nights of bliss. It is absolutely clean, quiet and really suited for getting away from it all. The staff were just to nice, helpful and did speak proper English, an excuse for us not to practice our little French (sorry, should have refused and insisted on French only). Some reviewers complained about the steps down to the delightful little town, but I can tell you as rough and steep as they are your heart and legs will thank you for using them. This hotel is highly recommended by my wife and me !!!!

Had a great time.staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful. The only comment would be that the bath was very narrow. I will definately visit again.

we had the unfortunate experience of trying to find the hotel at 11 at night.If the receptionist hadn*t been concerned enough to phone us. We would still have been travelling yet. .Thank you. How can you find a hotel that is a good half an hour off the motorway. well hidden in a small village. Apart from that we had an excellent few nights in one of the nicest hotels for a while

Lovely hotel located a few minutes walk from the lovely village of pont avon. Beautiful rooms with separate room for the 2 children which was great. Friendly staff and lovely food.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Domaine de Pont Aven Art Gallery Resort - so much so that we stayed and extra 2 nights! The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself had everything you would expect in a 4 star. Car parking was available on site. The room was quite large, nicely furnished, had a nice view out large windows and all comforts needed. Wifi was provided and worked well. The hotel has a nice little bar and dining room overlooking the garden and pool area. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from - even freshly cooked eggs on request. The walk up from Pont Aven using their walkway certainly raised the heart rate - but it was a pleasant walk with nice views of Pont Aven and we found it a good way to finishing off the day by walking off the exceses from eating too much of great food provided in the many Pont Aven restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was Au Petit Bouchon - truely magnificent french food at a reasonable price - with great atmosphere (but don't expect an English explanation of the menu from the very freindly owner - he doesnt speak English! For us it certainly added to the fun! We enjoyed it so much wanted to book again the following night - but we found that it closes for a couple of days mid week. (like many of the restaurants in Pont Aven). So if you have a particular restaurant one you wish to go to make sure you check the days they are open.

This is a beautiful hotel in its own tree-lined grounds, and we were impressed by the quality of the rooms and the service from the staff. The building had been a school and had been refurbished to a very high standard. The food was presented on white designer china, and we could eat outside or inside. We would happily go there again. We had forgotten to check where the hotel was before getting to Pont Aven, and there was a lack of signposting of the hotel from the village itself, but this may be because it is so new.

The hotel was fine, the property was well maintained, and the rooms were clean and nice. However, the pictures made us think it would be a quaint but lovely hotel and it was too Hilton-esque.

What a great find! We couldn't believe it when we arrived at this pristine hotel. Rooms were excellent and the on-site pool, though small, provided an excellent opportunity to unwind. The reataraunt was very good, if a little pricey, but the cuisine was first class. I really can't rate thehotel highly enough the pnly down side being the location, a strenuous walk uphill from the centre. Would definately stay there gain and would recommend it to family and friends.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment across the street from the main hotel and it was great. The location is fine although it is located at the top of a hill overlooking the centre of Pont-Aven and I would not like to have a pram with me! The content and equipment of the apartment were good and fairly new and has two bathrooms, one on each floor. The swimming pool is fairly small but not busy so we were fine using it. I would recommend it to anyone but be aware that you are asked to clean the apartment yourself before you leave or pay 60 Euros for it.

Absolutely fabulous! Fantastic staff some with unbelievably excellent English. Friendly welcome included a tour of the facilities. Excellent service from all staff including the restaurant which had a good menu and was high quality. Perfect setting above Pont Aven with access to the river and town. Great swimming pool and sauna, comfortable and beautifully appointed rooms. Couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommended.
