Hotel Lagunita Yelapa

Nice and quiet little fishermen village at 40min in boat from Puerto Vallarta. Easy to get there, no much to do only enjoying the beach and the sea. The kids had a great time there. The hotel staff is really nice and helpful, the room are simple but it's quite sufficient. I'll recommend Hotel Lagunita and the village of Yelapa, if you prefer to escape from the craziness of Puerto Vallarta.

For $60, even in the off season, this place was horribly expensive for the condition of the bungalows. I know every country is different, but these same rooms would be $5-10 a night in a place like Thailand. Staff was super friendly, and scenery was beautiful though.

The hotel is WAY!!! overpriced for what it offers! Although the staff, particularly the housekeeping is very nice and diligent, the amenities are lacking! for that price you would expect at least a coffee-maker or shampoo. But I suppose they expect you to eat & support their restaurant, where a simple breakfast will set you back at least $12.00 each day! Room security also has a lot to ask for: The door (made of loosely woven twigs) is fastened with just pretty much a large paper clip. Some of the fixtures were quite worn & need upgrading: the faucet knobs & fixtures were rusty. I felt uneasy at night, although they reassured me that they have not had any criminal activity; but the facility is open to anyone just walking about from the village (pueblo).

Couldn't have asked for anything more. Had a great experience. The entire staff were excellent. Just what we needed.

And to just plop yourself on a beach lounger is the best. The hotel owner and staff are as accommodating as they can be. Hotel Lagunita in Yelapa is my favorite place to stay.

I love the ocean views and rustic charm. Staff was good and very easy going. The food was great.

This place is really pretty and very quiet. If you like the out door feel then this is the place for you. This place is surrounded with a lot natural beauty. A true diamond in the ruff.
