Besonders zu empfehlen ist die Herzlichkeit der Vermieterin Katarina. Liebevoll wurde das Apartment eingerichtet. Frische Blumen, Kosmetische Pröbchen, eine Flasche Sekt und ein Probefläschien Raki haben uns erwartet. Sie hat uns viele Tipps gegeben und hat für den Transport zum Flughafen organisiert. Die Zimmer waren mit allem nötigen ausgestattet und sehr sauber.

Katerina is a very lovely host and she gave us lots of great tips on restaurants, beaches, parking, etc. The hotel is located conveniently at the eastern end of the old town, which makes everything a comfortable walking distance. Still it‘s very quietly located in a side alley. It‘s very clean, the terrace with the lemon trees was very cute. The breakfast is served at another place very close right at the harbor (only inside). They have 4 menus to choose from, it‘s good and a lot. You also get orange juice, and a filter coffee or black tea.

If you‘re sensitive to noise (especially while sleeping) an apartment on the top floor would be better. We had an apartment on the first floor and we could hear our neighbours above walking loudly.

Katerina is the real star of the property! Super friendly and eager to help. She made our stay fantastic. I had booked this property after reading other reviews about her. We stayed in the suite, with private roof top deck and hot tub. The suite is very well appointed. Everything you could need and a very comfortable bed. Perfect location for walking to old town and affordable restaurants. The views from the rooftop are incredible! Nice outdoor furniture and an umbrella. The only downside (not the fault of the property) is the hot tub is not very warm. It’s great on a warm day. We had some cooler nights and rainy days. We asked Katerina if the temp could be turned up (it’s at 33°, in Canada our hot tubs sit around 38-39°) and the manufacturer has told her, no - it can only be turned down to a lower temperature.

Excellent location right near the centre. The hotel is a real little gem, clean and comfortable. We had an exceptional split level room with kitchen facilities and a little balcony. It really was lovely and had been modernised. Good value for money. Katerina the manager was lovely, very friendly with lots of useful tips and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Hotel Fortino and Katerina for your hospitality which made our visit to Chania very special.
