Queenstown Country Lodge

Die Lodge liegt zwischen Queenstown und Arrowton, an der Autobahn aber die ist etwas zurückgesetzt auf einem großen, schönen Grundstück, so dass kein Autolärm zu hören war. (Unser Zimmer ging allerdings auch nach hinten raus). Die Lodge ist sehr gemütlich und komfortabel eingerichtet mit einer großzügigen Gemeinschaftsküche. Sehr atmosphärisch und elegant, erinnert sie an ein englisches Landhaus. Essen und Einkaufen kann man im nahegelegenen Flughafenviertel "Frankton". Das ist eine etwas sterile Neubausiedlung um den Flughafen von Queenstown aber man findet nette Restaurants und Supermärkte und kann sich gut versorgen.

Eine - sonst übliche - Besuchermappe mit Informationen über Möglichkeiten, Essen zu gehen und Einzukaufen oder Aktivitäten in der Umgebung zu machen, wäre schön gewesen. Obwohl die Logde wirklich schön ist und definitiv über dem üblichen Standard liegt, fanden wir sie doch sehr teuer.

Beautiful location, really lovely lodge type property. Really quiet area, warm room.

I think we had an average room and I think there are nicer ones. Photos are a bit limited on the website. We liked it overall but there was some weird things that were annoying… the kettle that has to be used in a little wardrobe, there’s no dresser or a mirror in the bedroom (we did get a wine barrel?!) -plenty of empty space in the room but o useful furniture to put stuff on, heat pump sits right above the bed - had to turn it off at 1am due to noise. No actual tv with Freeview channels, there was a tv in the room but you had to stream from your device, you couldn’t just put on tv to catch the news for example without a heaps of phaff. For the price I would have expected those things.
