"Simply perfect"

10.0

Absolutely gorgeous place. The service is simply immaculate, all stuff members are not just doing good their job but go beyond- they treat a place like their home and guests as their valued guests. The quality, size of the rooms, location, food at the restaurant all just superb This is my 6th time at this place, and I’ve stayed in many hotels in the area and trust me -this one in the ONE. They recently renovated the barn and I have had a pleasure to stay in it. If you are a family or just friends- this is a place to be. The design is absolutely beautiful stylish, elegant and thoughtfully done without feeling over-designed. Everything has been considered, right down to the details that truly matter. As a wine lover, I was particularly delighted to discover proper wine glasses. A surprisingly rare luxury these days! The barn itself is incredibly comfortable. Two gorgeous bedrooms with their own en-suite bathrooms, plus an additional family bathroom with a bath for the children's rooms (there are two more rooms one single and another one twin) make it perfect for both families and groups of friends. The living room deserves a special mention. The fireplace creates exactly the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to cancel your plans, pour a glass of wine and stay in for the evening. Outside, there is a lovely garden where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset while admiring the beautiful Derbyshire countryside just sitting on the terrace, soaking in the outdoor jacuzzi or admiring it from the floor so ceiling windows. It is one of those places that immediately makes you slow down and appreciate the moment.

"Wedding Noise Ruined Our Stay"

4.0

I am lying awake with time on my hands. I cannot sleep because the noise from the wedding which is happening literally at the end of the corridor is keeping me awake… for the second night in a row. Perhaps I should take a bath to relax. Nope, I can’t do that because the plug in the bath doesn’t work. I have reported the plug and the noise to reception who are evidently powerless to help. This is a large hotel and there’s a whole other wing which is much further away from the wedding. When I asked if my 3 year old and us could be moved to that side of the hotel I was told the rooms were all full…with wedding guests. I am gravely disappointed with a hotel that we booked for our anniversary weekend away.

"Exceptional comfort and fantastic restaurant"

10.0

My daughters and I were visiting England for the first time, traveling to four different locations. Of all the hotels we stayed, Peak Edge was our favorite. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable, and the food at the Red Lion was superb. Our luggage was delayed and the front desk was so helpful in bringing us toothbrushes, robes, phone chargers, etc. to get us through while we waited for our luggage to catch up with us. I highly recommend this hotel.

"My first time at this hotel."

10.0

We stopped over at the peak edge hotel after we had attended a wedding there. The room was absolutely stunning , the bed was so comfortable. The rooms were spotless and they are really good sizes , everything been through out really well. I wish I had the time to have enjoyed the bath there but the rest of the bathroom was sparkling. The wedding was an absolutely brilliant day the food was Devine. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I will definitely be coming back for food as this was my first experience at this hotel and I have not one bad word to say about it.

"A wonderful stay"

10.0

Stayed at the Peak Edge following our wedding day. The Ashover Suite is absolutely beautiful. A very special stay! The team were all helpful. There were also great gluten free options on the menu at breakfast! Wish we could've stayed for longer!

"Luxury in the countryside."

10.0

We stopped two nights at The Peak Edge Hotel and found it to be very slick and professionally run with luxury rooms and a very good restaurant. The attention to detail was commendable and the staff very friendly and efficient. The location was perfect for our needs being close to many historic houses and beautiful countryside. They managed to keep the 'event' side and the 'tourist' side separate so that neither impeded the other. The car park alone was a testament to their commitment with plenty of spaces and attractive flower displays. The only criticism was the prolific use of plastic flowers and trees - very tacky and not necessary! We would definitely go back and would recommend others to do so.

"Excellent stay overall!"

10.0

My sister and I stayed at the Peak Edge Hotel the first week of May this year (2026). it was perfection from beginning to end. Plenty of easy parking, friendly and easy check in, great rooms, great food, and excellent staff. We had a Juliet Balcony Room overlooking the pond and the field beyond with Highland Coos. Clean, excellent space, two chairs, divinely comfortable bed, and excellent large bath with separate tub and shower. Coffee and tea available in the room. Short inside walk to their excellent restaurant where we had dinners and breakfasts that were excellent. Food and service worthy of a top restaurant. The hotel is beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed the art in the spacious lounge areas of the restaurant with plenty of cosy seating areas. And did I say the staff is amazing?! We had left some fairly expensive items behind, and the honest housekeeping staff turned them in and they were happy to arrange to return them to us. Without a question, we will stay here again. We give it our highest recommendation!
