Heiseikan Shiosaitei

Amazing service and room. The staff were really attentive. We arrived when it was raining and one of them ran out with an umbrella and offered towels to us after that. The room view was superb as well and there is a public bath to relax. Worth a stay for everyone that wishes to have a Japanese experience.

The Hotel is 1 of the best choice i made. The bus stop is just around 20 metres away from the Hotel. The service is friendly and attentive. What i like best is the location. It faced the sea and is quiet with 7-11 & Lawson nearby and a popular ramen shop recommended by the Hotel staffs. The dinner and breakfast was very nice with mixture of Jap & Western dishes. I stayed in the Ocean facing room and will definitely stay again if I come to Hakodate.

This was my 2nd stay at the hotel. Was disappointed as I did not manage to get a room with private Onsen. rooms were fully booked

Lobby pretty and serene . Sitting on rockers or chairs with magnificent bonsai and clear glass to enjoy the ocean! Our return visit after 15 years...service excellent. Grand buffet for breakfast and dinner. Fresh seafood , steaks, and variety of Japanese dishes and appetizers with attention to detail! Great presentation. Loved public baths!

It was one of the best traditional hot spring hotel I’ve ever stayed, super clean and wonderful service. But the staff doesn’t speak much English

If you're travelling to Hakodate via the Hokkaido Shinkansen you'll want to take a cab to this Hotel as it's a 20 minute ride. We were greeted at the door by the concierge and they insisted they cart our lightly packed backpacks all the way up to the room. The staff was extremely courteous and very helpful when it came to sightseeing. The breakfast buffet is one of the most diverse I've ever seen and depending on the day you have a wonderful view of the ocean as well. The onsen is well kept and incredibly relaxing. As this was my first onsen experience I'll offer this one small tip I learned. The closer you sit to the water source, the higher the temp of the water. Moving away significantly reduces the water temp. Hakodate is a wonderful town and my experience at this hotel was fantastic. I hope yours will be too.

We enjoyed the experience of Japanese culture. The room we stayed has wonderful ocean views。it is very amazing that we can see the sunset and sunrise from the same window. Both breakfast and dinner buffet were good, lots of local food. Hot springs was another unique experience.

Nice room with ocean view, clean, spacious, and really good seafood buffet and wide selections for breakfast too. BUT if you want to enjoy the natural hot spring waters Yunokawa has to offer, seek another spot. The outdoor onsen is on the 4th floor facing the street. This means traffic noise and smell of exhaust. Not the kind of atmosphere you seek in an outdoor onsen. The indoor one faces the ocean but not with no open window! You're in a box! That's just ridiculous. We did 8 onsen in 11 days - massive big ones, medium size hotels, and intimate small ryokan, this one is the worst when it comes to the onsen.
