Grand View

Stayed on honeymoon. Some of the staff was absolutely amazing!! Our driver from the hotel was helpful and one of the highlights. Nice pool and great breakfast! Pool was nice with a great view and staff was always cleaning. The hotel is FAR from everything and bus system is very unreliable (twice we waited at stop, waived them down and they just waived back and kept driving). Taxi’s are very hard to come and it’s expensive to get everywhere. It is also very loud around the hotel, we had a wedding night we were there going until 4AM. Again, great staff. Nice hotel but far from everything so better to pay more and be closer.

Great Hotel with amazing staffs, they will help you everything they can, especially Alex at the reception, he has been very helpful and give you lots of suggestions to make your stay more memorable. The only downside is the breakfast, it’s very limited choices, if you go in late, the food will be finished, and they don’t top up. The bar restaurant don’t do chips and not many options for kids. You need to hire a car to drive around as there is a bit distance to Oia and Fira.

Quiet and Beautiful place away from the crowds .pleasant staff

The place is quite nice and looks to be reverently built. There is a lovely view from the pool/bar area. It feels a bit remote in terms lof location, which you may or may not enjoy. A car is a good idea unless you want to be stuck at the hotel and surrounding area. My complaint is with the staff member we encountered upon checkout. He called us a taxi. I have travelled extensively, and I always find out from the hotel how much I should be paying the taxi driver to get to my destination and whether it is a fixed rate or a meter is used. When I asked here, staff member informed me of an approximate cost and that driver would use a meter. In fact, driver insisted on more and refused to use the meter. Now, I am not going to blame the behaviour of the taxi driver on the staff at hotel. They are renowned the world over. My complaint is the “not my problem” attitude here, which I have never encountered on my travels. This was precisely the attitude here, with no interest in getting involved until pressed to do so. We left with a very bad taste in our mouths, as if they really don’t care about their guests here. I would definitely expect that they would make an effort to assist here, given as they would have relationships with taxi companies. Why use a company that screws your guests and then refuse to get involved (he finally called the company, but that didn’t help). Unfortunately, this really tainted our experience.

Staff was very helpful getting us everything we needed right from the start. We stayed 10 nights and the guys (Alex and Andreas) at the front desk were amazing and helpful. The views of the caldera and volcano from the pool area were incredible. The hotel rooms were newly renovated with everything needed for a long stay. Breakfast buffet was great start to the day with all the food you could ask for! The food (Lunch and Dinner) from the on site restaurant was great, ate at the hotel almost everyday. Overall excellent experience, will definitely come back. Downside - they do not allow food/drinks from other places to be consumed outside of the rooms.

We Loved everything about our stay . Classy first class accommodations. Beautiful atmosphere, We loved the room and pool area . The free breakfast in the mornings was wonderful. You don’t get enough of the amazing views !

I can't even begin to describe how amazing this place is! Hands down my best hotel experience ever. A 5 star staff and the location is the best on the island! There is no better place in Santorini to see such beautiful sunsets, especially with the luxury of not having to fight a big crowd and just be able to sit and enjoy the serenity of it all while sipping a cocktail from the pool or privacy of your balcony. Megalochori village is just a short walk away, making it easy to go into town for meals, shopping, and exploring. Additionally, the staff helped make transportation arrangements for any travel needs to other parts of the island. The breakfast that was included with our stay was phenomenal as well! Again, can't say enough positive things about Grand View. Hope to be back before too long!

Room did not have a view from inside. Had small terrace that did have a view out over the pool. Rooms give you a feel for Greece. Short walking distance to Megalohori Traditional Village which is fantastic. Sunset view from pool area is also fantastic. Everyone was friendly. Would recommend this hotel.
