Small individual things that aren't relevant for everyone. So if it's affordable price for you, just take the place. Anyway when you go around that with Uber

Friendly host and accommodating. The room is clean and decorated with style. Parking on site and secure. 20 min walking distance to UCT upper campus. Other amenities are not too far either.

What a gem of a place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Carmichael. Yves and Valerie were so very helpful throughout our 4 night stay in March. Yves went well beyond my expectations when he helped sort out a safari booking that almost never happened! The Carmichael is a beautiful guest house with spacious elegant rooms thoughtfully decorated. The breakfast is a real treat too with many options. A great start to our Cape Town holiday. We will definitely return soon.

Carmichael House is a grand old property, full of character. Yves and Valerie were great hosts and looked after us so well. We stayed in the family room which was ideal for the 5 of us. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and off street parking was a real bonus. Hope to return again soon!

The breakfast outside was delightful! It was gorgeous. The house was so classy, and the rooms were spacious, inviting, and felt like a true vacation.
