Riviera Beachotel - Adults Recommended

Stayed for the fiesta for 4 nights. Allocated a room on the 8th floor and could literally hear everything. People going to the loo, flushing, and the daily antics which come with an adult hotel. Literally zero privacy. Other than the noise the room was fine. We did have a blocked sink which we reported but was never fixed, I dread to think what’s causing it. Food was the biggest let down. Having previously stayed in the Flash and Nero, the selection was poor at best. Ok if you don’t like lots of options, but too much like a budget canteen for us. Pool area is tiny, didn’t see any sun on there but it was November. Location is probably the best benefit of this hotel. Straight off the main strip and a fantastic bar/terrace outside where the staff work so hard. We wouldn’t return but for those wanting to good base at a low price for a few days, it’s ideal.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The terrace is a great spot for drinks in the sun we normally go here when we visit but this is the first time we have stayed at the Riviera. It was lovely before we arrived I had emailed asking for a low floor as I’m not good in lifts and after reading some of the comments I didn’t want to use them, we were given 1st floor which was great. Room was great and very clean bathroom and balcony were good. Great location. The food was very nice always hot. Staff in all areas were lovely. The pool is tucked around the back but we went out 1 day around 10.45 and the sun was up the side and there are some lounger’s there then I assume it carries on around to the pool we came back 1 day about 1pm and the sun was starting at the pool we sat for a few hours it was nice but not sure what time the sun is there till. This was ok for us as we were out and about most of the time. The lounge was nice and they had some good acts on. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.

Staff, cleanliness and choice and quality of food

We were a little reticent about going to Benidorm as its reputation is a bit like Marmite - Love it or hate it. We decided to wait until November when there may have been a better chance of not getting caught up in Hen and Stag do chaos. We arrived on 3rd November and it was the perfect time. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Every single member of staff were happy and helpful with the exception of the gentleman in reception, presumably night staff as we left very early on our day of departure - not even a goodbye or safe journey home was given nor did he enquire if we had enjoyed our stay. The maitre d and waiting staff in the restaurant were a delight, so cheerful. Food was good, restaurant and choices not massive but the hotel isn’t big either so probably appropriate. We read on here about the lifts being poor, yes, they are not the fastest but they got you where you wanted to go. Riviera Music Lounge in the basement is great, 3 or 4 acts each evening in what can only be described as a well laid out and beautifully decorated room. Drink prices were very good throughout all bars. The front terrace gets the sun and is packed out by 1pm. My only critic would be the pool area, pool is tiny and as others have said, the sun barely touches the area until 1pm. Location is great, close enough to all the bars ( Just over the road from Morgan’s Tavern) but far enough away from the main strip and the drunken chaos in the early hours. A five minute walk to the promenade and what a pretty promenade it is. Beach looked very clean and the sea front bars etc generally looked well kept. All in all, an absolute pleasurable time both at the Riviera Beach and in Benidorm in general, so much so we rebooked within 24 hours of returning home to go back in April next year.

Fabulous hotel with fantastic staff whether in the restaurant, rooms or bars. They go over and above to look after you. A huge shout to the amazing Terrace Bar team - Luciana, Davide, Ishi, Alex, Jairo and those behind the scenes, thank you for looking after us. Also the Music Lounge - Fab, Tony and Laxman you never stop but always with a smile, not forgetting Jose, we missed you!

This is our first stay at The Riviera & without doubt the best Hotel we have ever stayed in Benidorm. Hotel spotless, Food Outstanding, Staff attentive and polite and drinks well priced compared to other bars In the Town. Definitely a more mature clientele which was great - no noise at night 😉 Pool area small but no problem getting a bed and is a little suntrap from midday with sun all day from 9 am at the front of the hotel and in the lovely residents only side seating area. We don't want ro leave tomorrow but looking forward to returning soon.
